My self-summary
I'm your standard midwestern, jeans and a snarky T-shirt type of guy. I just bought a house on the east side if that helps. I've spent time in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Washington DC. I spend a goodly amount of time at concerts, doing improv, homebrewing, trapped at the office, or at home spending way too much time online. I'm an engineer, so I have all the standard geek personality traits, which means I'm also pretty good at trivia night. I just joined a gym so I'm (slowly) getting back in shape.
What I’m doing with my life
Causing havoc currently. I'm working on exploring, trying new restaurants and bars and getting to work on time the next morning. The fact that I have a regular bar already is both troubling and awesome.
I’m really good at
My google-fu is excellent. My Procrastination skills are legendary.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have really blue eyes. Like Dread Pirate Roberts blue. I occasionally am wearing the coolest T-shirt you have ever seen. Other than that I have the bad habit of just blending into the background with every other neckbeard in Austin.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I'm a serious music geek (thus the move to Austin). I love live music, and I've been taking advantage of that so far. Some of the favs are Ani Difranco, Washed Out, Bon Iver (and all of his side projects), Sufjan Stevens, Savages, San Fermin, Lord Huron, Dum Dum Girls, The National, LCD Soundsystem(sigh), Grizzly Bear, Josh Ritter, Spoon, CHVRCHES, Iron and Wine, Bob Dylan, Andrew Bird, Sigur Ros, St Vincent, Kathleen Edwards, The Walkmen(sigh), Joanna Newson, etc. I'm looking forward to festival season and going apeshit next SXSW.

For the most part, I'm a vacation reader. I rejoined the SF&F book club again. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

I like food. I'm a wanna-be foodie. I'm the guy who finds all the cool restaurants for my friends.
The six things I could never do without
I don't think there is anything i could never do without. 3 weeks on in paradise and i'd probably forget about the internet and my iphone. I've recently discovered that there is indeed a minimum amount of sleep a human needs to function.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Music. House stuff. Why I'm so damn nocturnal. Improv stuff. When am I going to be able to start my own restaurant/brewpub. How the hell I'm going to be able to afford a trip to Djibouti/Dubai. More music.
On a typical Friday night I am
Puttering around the East Side, a music venue or improv show. I like the word putter. Putter.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I was carried to Ohio in a swarm of bees.

I can't spell the word "intrested." If its spelled correctly then I caved and used spell check.

I own a kilt, and have been known to wear it to bars on special occasions.
You should message me if
Who are you really, and what were you before? What did you do and what did you think, huh? (bonus question)

You like snark, or you like the good things in life. Or you like improv, or you like live shows, or you like snarky, laid back, funny guys that like good food, improv and live shows.

I'm always looking for more Austin tour guides and concert buddies. Hit me up!
