Hey, so I just moved to Austin in Aug, so I'm still getting used to this lack of seasons thing and amount of pure awesomeness.
I'm midwestern, jeans and a snarky T-shirt type of guy with time spent in Cleveland, Pittsburgh and Washington DC. I spend a goodly amount of time at concerts, yoga, doing improv, homebrewing, trapped at the office or at home spending way too much time online. I'm an engineer, so I have all the standard geek personality traits, which means I'm also pretty good at trivia night. I played ultimate and rockclimbed in my younger days, and wouldn't mind finding someone to start that back up with (though my knees would like to file a formal protest first) .

getting settled in Austin currently. Trying to not get lost downtown. I have a job, apt and few friends, so I'm working on everything else one needs to be a functioning human being in a new town.

My google-fu is excellent. My Procrastination skills are legendary.

I have really blue eyes. Like Dread Pirate Roberts blue. I occasionally am wearing the coolest T-shirt you have ever seen. Other than that I have the bad habit of just blending into the background with every other neckbeard in Austin.

I'm a serious music geek (thus the move to Austin). I love live music and I've been taking advantage of that so far. Some of the favs are Ani Difranco, Washed Out, Bon Iver, Sufjan Stevens, Dum Dum Girls, The National, LCD Soundsystem(sigh), Grizzly Bear, Josh Ritter, Spoon,Panda Bear, Iron and Wine, Bob Dylan, Midlake, Andrew Bird, Sigur Ros, St Vincent, Kathleen Edwards, The Walkmen, Joanna Newson, etc. I'm looking forward to festival season and going apeshit next SXSW.

For the most part, I'm a vacation reader. I just rejoined the SF&F book club again. Apparently I'm a glutton for punishment.

I like food. I'm a wanna-be foodie. In DC, I used to be the guy who finds all the cool restaurants for my friends.

I don't think there is anything i could never do without. 3 weeks on in paradise and i'd probably forget about the internet and my iphone. I've recently discovered that there is indeed a minimum amount of sleep a human needs to function. So I've become a big fan of sleep recently.

Music. Geek stuff. My next/last vacation to Europe, the lakehouse or the west coast. More music. What I would do for a Klondike bar. And why I'm so damn nocturnal. When am I going to be able to start my own restaurant/brewpub. How the hell I'm going to be able to afford a trip to Djibouti/Dubai. More music.

Still figuring that out. A good portion of the time I'm at a show, with Mohawk being the most likely location. My friends are still working on showing me all their favorites, so every now and then I end up somewhere on the east side eating amazing stuff.

I was carried to Ohio in a swarm of bees.

I can't spell the word "intrested." If its spelled correctly then I caved and used spell check.

I own a kilt, and have been known to wear it to bars on special occasions.
