I'm Kaileigh. I've moved to Providence a little over a year ago, but I have been a reluctant resident of Rhode Island. I'm still lookin' to explore and meet people and find neat places.

I have a German Shepherd mix. His name is Ruger. That being said - must love dogs. If you live near the dog park just off Tobey Street and would like to run around like a fool with Ruger, let me know!

I like pizza with barbecue chicken, potatoes mashed, coffee black with two or three scoops of sugar, and tea of the blueberry or acai variety. I do smoke on occasion, though I am trying to get that down to "smokes while drinking." Ice cold beer and hot-sauce-spiked shots of tequila get me through nights out.

I have an over-active imagination, and I tend to freak myself out late at night. I love the smell of campfires, old bookstores, and autumn. I'm very loyal, I'm clumsy, and I hate math. I like red pandas and red foxes, but my favorite color is green.

I strum strum strum my ukulele when I'm feelin' like groovin'. I very rarely leave the house during daytime hours without sunglasses.

Moved into a new apartment recently with my giant mutt who steps on my feet too often. I spend my day trying to coordinate my scattered employers and technicians in an office. I am also attempting to get back into illustrating, so I try to sneak in sketching throughout my day.

Being ungraceful at the worst possible moments, hugs, stealing blankets in my sleep, accepting and defeating challenges, forgetting to charge my cell phone.

My sunglasses - when inside, they are generally perched atop my head; when outside, they are on year-round, regardless of the weather. That or Ruger. Everyone notices Ruger first.

Books: Any David Sedaris, Life of Pi, To Kill A Mockingbird, Pride and Prejudice, World War Z, Watchmen, Fables, Phantom Tollbooth...and lots and lots of others.

Movies: I am a movie addict. I will pretty much go see any movie. Away We Go, Kiss Kiss Bang Bang, Smokin' Aces, Lucky Number Slevin, Sherlock Holmes, Amelie, Eight Below, Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind, The Hudsucker Proxy, Wristcutters: A Love Story, How to Train Your Dragon, Moulin Rouge, Face//Off, Jurassic Park 1&2, Secondhand Lions, Garden State, Dogma, The Fifth Element, Ferris Bueller's Day Off, Life As A House, Dodgeball, Shaun of the Dead, Young Frankenstein, Independence Day, Kill Bill 1&2, the original Star Wars trilogy, are pretty enjoyable. Oh, and I'm a hopeless romantic. I like romance movies.

Music: Ben Folds, Julia Nunes, Kings of Leon, Mumford and Sons, John Mayer, Say Anything, Ingrid Michaelson, The Pogues, Madeline Adams, Noah and the Whale, Passion Pit, Arcade Fire, Joshua Radin, Lauren O'Connell, Amos Lee, Damien Rice, Lisa Hannigan, The Postal Service, Death Cab for Cutie, The Decemberists, Bright Eyes, Michael Buble, The Killers, Billy Joel. Eclectic describes it best, as I enjoy most types of music (including a range of old jazz and new country). I try to be open-minded.

Food: I'm not really that picky. Except when it comes to cooked carrots. And lima beans. And oranges. And orange juice, for that matter. And spaghetti (it's nothing personal against spaghetti, I just have this weird thing about the texture). I don't really like stuffing either. Or tuna. Oh, and white chocolate. That being said, I do love to cook.

TV: How I Met Your Mother, It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, New Girl, The Office, Father Ted, Black Books, Pushing Daisies.

Bright colors, sunglasses year-round (particularly fond of aviators), playful dogs, love, hot showers, and mashed potatoes.

How to knit, how to sing better, how to play music better, how to run faster, how to be sweeter, how to forgive more whole-heartedly, how to hold my fiery temper in check, how to appreciate more, how to travel with my dog, how to paint better, how to swim to the bottom of a deep pool without my ears hurting, how to smile more, how to love deeper.

Trying to meet the world. White Russians, Whiskey Sours, Grateful Deads, or beer (anything but an I.P.A.). When I drink, I often smoke too many cigarettes - that's usually okay though, since we're discussing a typical Friday night and not the typical Saturday morning remorse that follows it.

I find proper grammar and mechanics super sexy.

You don't mind jokes that are damn silly; you like homemade knit hats; you have somethin' interesting to say; you want to go adventurin'; you use internet acronyms infrequently or never at all; you have a dog and want to go on a puppy play date to a dog park; you go to the Providence Planet Fitness and wanna run, run, run!

The witless or easily offended need not bother.
