I often think of myself as a kid in an adult’s body. I love to play outside (hiking and camping, though I haven’t had time to camp in a while). I love to play games (board games, computer games and rpgs – NOT mind games). I love Disney. And I just generally love to have fun. But that doesn’t mean I can’t be a grown up too. I enjoy museums, reading and going out with friends.

I used to be a zoo keeper. Unfortunately it doesn’t pay well and when I became a single mother I had to find something a little more substantive. I am hoping to go back to zoos though. I’ve got some great stories from working with animals… like the time I was gored by an antelope. Really.

I’m kind of a girly tom-boy, if that makes sense. I like to get dirty and be outside. I don’t mind roughing it when camping. But I also like sparkly things (think rhinestones and tiaras) and an occasional pedicure. I think, as with most things in life, everything is good in moderation.

I’m very much a geek. I can quote almost every Monty Python movie and the Princess Bride. I have a troll hunter and prefer to play Horde characters. My favorite class is a druid/ranger multiclass character. I’ve been to several cons, including a Star Trek con. But, I also love to play board games and to just sit around with friends and talk about pretty much anything. I’m a pretty open person and very honest.

My favorites....
(a) Books: Tolkien's Middle Earth novels, of course. I love Tim Robbins, Robert Jordan, Octavia Butler, and Vernor Vinge. Dr. Seuss is pretty high up there too.

(b) Movies: I'm a geek, so Star Wars and Star Trek. LOTR Trilogy. And I love really, really bad movies like Chopper Chicks from Zombie Town, Frogs, Slugs, etc. And I'm a romantic, so The Princess Bride.

(c) Music: My taste in music varies. Right now the playlist I'm listening to has Garbage, Bowie, Godsmack, jazz, Blink 182, Perfect Circle, Korn. But I also listen to musicals, operas, classical. I'm fairly open to most music (I have a difficult time with country though)

(d) Foods: One word: chocolate. Ok- add a few more- ice cream, Asian foods, Mexican, Italian. I think it's harder to find something I don't like, except for yellow curry.

Besides the obvious choices such as air and water... My son, friends, books, music, games, chocolate.

At home. How exciting is that?

For a very long time I couldn't close my eyes in the shower. Not because of the Psycho shower scene, but because of The Blob. You know, that scene where it comes up through the shower drain.
