Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am open minded. I believe that if you can think it, someone will
do it. And while I wouldn't say that I have lowered my expectations
for people, I certainly have BROADER expectations of what people
are capable of.
With that being said, I enjoy collecting stories and perspectives
from new people. I've moved around a bit (14x; 5 countries) and
tend to be a vagabond at times. Life's no fun without
benders--what's the point of living if you can't surprise
I'm looking for someone who is intellectually curious, open-minded,
and honest, with both herself and others.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm an attorney. My firm primarily does intellectual property
litigation. Previously, I worked in neurogenetics and
But the above are just jobs. When I can, I pursue adventures off
the beaten path, where I can learn from those whose lives are
different. I tend toward contemplation and enjoy reading (history)
and writing (poetry). At the end of the day, the residue of memory
is love; I am just trying to find and do what I love.
I’m really good at

you aren't failing, you ain't trying.

Music: I really enjoy listening to CRASS top 40 stuff; I often
wonder if artists like Akon and whoever sang "Who Booty" were being
ironic. I hope not. In seriousness, I listen to a little bit of
everything--ethereal pop, jazz, soul, rap, rock, etc.; Mr. Little
Jeans, Alice Russell, UGK, Nada Surf, etc.
Books: I wouldn't say I have favorite books. I tend to read them
and never touch them again, but here are some I really enjoyed
recently--The Coming Anarchy, Vodka Politics, Blood and Thunder,
Vanished Kingdoms, A Song of Ice and Fire. Most of these books
center on the rise and FALL of nation-states/empires. Maybe this is
the schadenfreude in me.
Movies: Lawrence of Arabia; Guardians of the Galaxy; Batman (the
Christian Bale ones).
Shows: Game of Thrones; Hawaii Five-O; Dexter; Bones; Rome. I am
slightly embarrassed, but I love over the top stuff.

let's be honest--most of us are drinking. the non-drinkers are 4x
richer than the rest of us as a result. this drinking may be mixed
with either high brow (art galleries) or low brow stuff (dive bars
and pool with bro friends), but the result is the same--we make
stupid decisions that we hope will remain fun even when we sober
up. i have had much success in making fun decisions. or is it luck?

I fell asleep while riding a bike once. I also lost a friend in
Colombia and had to file police reports in terrible Spanish before
locating him in an alley while cruising around Bogota with two
policeman in a tiny Fiat taxi.
