My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I consider myself to be easy going, loyal, polite, creative, caring, positive and sensitive - I enjoy simple pleasures, I am easily pleased, and enjoy a good laugh with good company :D

I like to travel, even if it's only local, and, unusually for a man, I like to shop (albeit music shops and book shops). I also wear a man-bag and proud to do so - looks so much better than stuffing all your accoutrements in your coat, I think!

I love music, particularly indie, rock and metal, but I like other genres too, and I'm currently learning to play the bass guitar, albeit very slowly!

I also like motorsport, WEC and LeMans sportscars mainly - I've lost interest in F1. That said, I've been a fan of the McLaren team since the days of Ayrton Senna. I don't really understand football, if I'm honest, and I don't get emotional if my favourite team loses! There's far more to life than worrying about whether a manager should play a 4-3-3 or a 4-4-2 formation!
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I design adventure play areas - occasionally I get to test them out! I'd like to travel - three places high on my list (if I had the money to go there, of course) are Scandinavia, Japan and Australia - but I'm content for the moment with Europe!

I've decided to have a bash at learning Dutch - it's a fascinating language, and it's a bit different to learning French or German or Spanish! Spreekt u Nederlands? Ik spreek weinig Nederlands!
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Impressions and impersonations, being a good listener, cooking a mean spag bol, tomato pasta sauce, or a bowl of scouse! I'm also a mine of useless information (in a Stephen Fry type way), but won't bore you with it!
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My smile :) also, my balding head and glasses - together with the beard, I'm told I look like a "Guess Who?" character!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books - Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, Bill Bryson, factual books, design books

Movies - Amelie, Dumb & Dumber, Kingpin, Hot Fuzz, Paul, any of the Monty Python films, Walk The Line, 24hr Party People, Control, Beavis & Butt-head Do America, Hitchhikers Guide To The Galaxy, School For Scoundrels (the 1960 version with Terry Thomas in it), The Damned United, Eternal Sunshine Of The Spotless Mind, Invictus, Scott Pilgrim, Despicable Me, Good Vibrations, independent films and ones you're likely to find on Film4.

Music - Joy Division, Pearl Jam, New Order, System Of A Down, Mumford & Sons, Weezer, Johnny Cash, cheesy 80s pop (!), Deep Purple, Deftones, Tool, Led Zeppelin, most indie stuff (particularly 90s indie), Levellers, Nirvana, Foo Fighters, Incubus, The Black Keys, Kraftwerk, The Kinks, LTJ Bukem, Zero 7, Idlewild, Muse, REM, Madness, Specials, ska, 80s/90s goth (Sisters Of Mercy, etc.), Depeche Mode, The Jam, Nick Drake, Weird Al Yankovic, The Doors, Paolo Nutini

I'm also currently hooked on The Big Bang Theory!

Food - Italian is my favourite, followed by Japanese and Indian. Also, I'm very partial to a bar of Galaxy choc or G&B's 70% :)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My iPod - has most of my CD library on it!
Family and friends

I'd also like to put my iPhone on there, but it's not a "be all and end all" thing - I don't let my phone rule my life! - and also, that would make it seven things!
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Whether Spiderman, imbued with the power of a spider, has trouble getting out of the bath!

Why the spine that holds a Terry's Chocolate Orange together, seems to taste even better than the segments!

I don't feel like my chronological age - I will perenially be 27, I think! I also think about whether to keep the beard, or shave it off altogether.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Watching a DVD with a glass of cider (I don't drink much, but I'm not teetotal!) - comedy usually, to remind me not to take life too seriously - or at a gig (Friday night gigs are the best, I think), or just chilling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
There are things I could admit to, but I think they may be a bit too private to put here! I suppose one thing I can put is that I'm an emetophobe.

you want to know more about me, if you've got any questions you'd like to ask me, if you want to get in touch, if you have a thing for "Guess Who?" characters, or if you want to know where "genoymeen" comes from! By the way, I don't like "text speak", and I prefer messages longer than one sentence :)
