My self-summary
I'm in a state of transition in my life. I realized that what I was doing was not what I wanted for my future. Therefore, I went back to school and pursued what it is that I really want to do with (and what I really want in) my life.

I've done the bar scene and I've done the 'I have a friend who I think would be perfect for you' thing so many times with the same results.

So in the spirit of trying something new, I am here with an open mind, hoping that there are like-minded individuals who are open minded enough to try any available avenue to take that could possibly guide them towards happiness.

I'm smart enough to know that words and pictures are a limited vehicle in which one can get to know someone, but I also believe that sometimes all we need is an opportunity. An opportunity to connect, even on a very informal scale, with someone who has similar beliefs, talents, or desires.

So, with that being said, I guess that this is where I should say a little something about me.

I have found a perfect balance in my life between responsibility and having fun. I own a house, have a car and have a job, but on top of all of that, I found time to really enjoy life.

I love to travel, meet new people and experience all facets of life. There is such a big world out there and it is up to us to explore it!
What I’m doing with my life
After receiving my undergraduate in journalism from Northern Arizona University, I quickly realized that I HATED the "real world" interpretation of the job.

It wasn't until I signed on to coach youth sports six years ago that I realized my true calling in life was to teach.

I just finished my Masters Degree in Secondary Education at Arizona State University and I will start teaching full time in the Fall!

It has been quite the journey, but I am reaping the benefits now.
I’m really good at
Communicating with people.

I think it is a quality that has been lost in society lately. I pride myself on being able to hold a conversation with just about anybody. I have been on this Earth for 29 years and have been exposed to all kinds of information, experiences and ideas. And so have you! So I can guarantee that we have a lot to share!
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books- Anything and everything by Chuck Klosterman, Erik Larson, Oscar Wilde. Other than the qualifier of author there are quite a few too many to name.
Movies- So many, but I suppose my top five would include Royal Tenenbaums (among many other Wes Anderson movies), Slapshot, The Sting (Maybe I have a thing for Paul Newman?), Office Space and a tie for fifth place between 20 or so movies (Kind of a cop out I know, but I can't narrow it down).
Music- The Beatles, then the rest of the classic rock genre, then 90's-current Indie rock (one of my favorite moments in life was buying Stephen Malkmus a whiskey sour), then a whole mixture of everything else you can imagine.
The six things I could never do without
My Family- They mean everything to me.
My Music- Just ask if you really wanna know!
My House (?)- It has everything I need!
Coffee and/or 5 hour energy
My friends
Good food- Humans need food of any kind to survive, but I need good food to stay sane.
On a typical Friday night I am
Reading books (like a nerd), planning for my classroom or out on the town with some friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
Well, I guess that is probably better saved for later...

You want to.
If there is anything at all that intrigues you (or disgusts you for that matter), then what is the harm in discussing it?
We all reach out to people on a daily basis, so why be afraid to do it here?

Just like any decision we make, we should ask ourselves ' What's the absolute worst that can happen?' and realize that the negative results are inconsequential.

I'd absolutely love to hear from you! (I promise!)
