My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I've been here for almost two years now I'm just looking to meet some people and see what DC is all about besides marble statues and traffic jams. So, I'm ready to break out my pastel sweaters, ankle-rolled khakis, ascots and boat shoes and become a member of Washington's high society.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Thinking of a good answer to this question in a city where everyone is smarter than I am isn't easy. We'll come back to this later. Hopefully you think this makes me modest.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Persuading, shortening words into something that doesn't even resemble the original word, dry dry British humor, being a fun drunk, making dinner, expressing a wine's flavors
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My recalcitrance and free spirit
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

My favorite books are, well, anything related to econ and finance and entrepreneurship. That sounds so boring but I'm also addicted to stuff like "Good to Great" and Jared Diamond's "Collapse". To take my mind out of the non-fiction realm I just bought "Ender's Game" to expose some suppressed creativity.

Fav movies include The Princess Bride ("Wuv, truuu wuv"), Margin Call (my personal favorite), The Hunt for Red October, Finding Neverland, Lord of War, Lost in Translation, Cool Runnings, the saddest film of all time with a weighty message - "If you're not enough without it you'll never be enough with it." And, Dr. Strangelove, the funniest film of all time. "There's no fighting in the war room!" Moving on...

I am a complete food-aholic and only eat sweetbreads and rare beef. I eat everything and expect the same of who I go out with - except during the week when I hardly eat carbs, seriously. Don't get me wrong, though - I love a great burger and pizza like the next guy but not so much that it ruins my silhouette and only on the weekend.

As for TV - Hannibal, Homeland, Silicon Valley, and Dexter reruns. Call me southern, but college football is in my blood, too. What's up with my Gators lately?

As far as music goes I keep up with the latest house tracks via podcasts and Spotify but my clubbing days are mostly over unless it's someone really special I want to see live.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
wireless internet
Klipsch headphones
my Le Creuset sauté pan
white LED lighting
my Global knife
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
perfecting the steroid cocktail I feed my racing horse, how to advance my skill-set so I don't have to work for anyone else for the rest of my life, how to build a building and name it Nakatomi Towers
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at the 1789 finishing off a bottle of Margaux before my driver takes me home
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I watch Outlander on Starz secretly so my guy friends don't find out.
