My self-summary Propose an edit

to begin with, i'm not an idiot, i just don't use capitalization on the internet.

i'm my own contradiction. i'm not an alcoholic but i drink a lot. i'm not the smartest person in the world but i still made it into grad school. i try to ride my bike or the bus whenever possible even though i own two cars. i'm a young, white, male southerner but i support obama. i'm in the military occasionaly and i love it, but i think the whole thing is ridiculous 100% of the time. i'm not a pet person but i have a cat.

i'm not necessarily looking for a g/f or a relationship. i'm just looking for someone to hang out with or meet up with at a bar occasionally just to hang out. if you're a grad student i'd probably love to hear what your dissertation or thesis is on because it is probably more interesting than mine.

What I'm doing with my life Propose an edit

trying to write a coherent thesis proposal before december so that i can write the actual thesis and go on my merry way to a ph.d. program. i'm applying to LSU, U.KY, UNC-Greensboro and Charlotte and hoping that somebody will pay me to futher my edjucayshun. before that i was active duty navy in flight school but now i just play military once a month as a lieutenant in the navy reserves.

i don't know. i've never met anybody who told me anything like, "hey, i see you're drooling on yourself." so it could be a smile, my eyes or the fact that i am initially reserved around new people till i decide what i can and can't say around them so they don't find out i'm crazy or so i manage not to offend them.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food Propose an edit

books/authors: harry potter, tom clancy, michael crichton, douglas preston and lincoln child. i also read MAD magazine and National Geographic, besides a few geography journals.
movies: fight club, boondock saints, godfather, star wars, star trek, james bond, i love slaptstick like naked gun, hot shots or anything mel brooks.
music: ALICE COOPER and mostly anything else of the classic rock genre. i kind of got into metal (iron maiden, iced earth, judas priest, etc. but only under the right condidtions.
food: chinese buffet, sushi, mexican, whataburger and waffle house.

all the stuff i have to get done. how a dumb kid from texas like me will ever get into a better college. whether or not i should just run off and join the circus. when i get to have my next beer.
