Hello there! I always hate trying to describe myself for these things but here goes...
I'm a fairly down to earth chick with expansive interests and hobbies. I want to try/do everything and feel like there's never enough time. I love natural sciences, books, philosophizing, trying new things, hiking or being outdoors, crafting, computers, scifi/fantasy and video games..and of course spending time with friends and family.
I'm like to be more active. I enjoy being outdoors and trying new places and things, but don't partake as often as I'd like since it's often hard to coordinate with friends.

I was Raised in Southern Oregon. Transplanted out east for a few years and moved to fantastic Portland, OR in 2006. I'm currently finishing up my B.S. in Geography at PSU. I should be graduating this Spring. I work part-time manufacturing eyeglass, but I'd like to leave as soon as I can find a position or internship utilizing GIS, field research or maybe environmental consulting. Once I graduate ideally I'd travel a bit, but that might change if I find a career I really enjoy.

Most often people tell me I smile a lot and that I'm easy going, I'm also a little stand-offish until I warm up to people, and I fidget a bit when I'm nervous or unsure. Physically people first notice my eyes, smile, and ass so I've been told.

Books: There are just too many to list. Recently I've been reading through Isaac Asimov's Foundation series, I love all Orson Scott Card, Douglas Adams, J.K. Rowling, etc. I also really enjoy books on ecology, sustainable concepts, theoretical physics (Brian Greene, and Michio Kaku), and other science/math stuff thats way above my head for now.
I enjoy all sorts of movies but mainly stick to action/adventure, comedy, and romanace. One of my all time favorites has to be Garden state though. I do not watch horror movies. I watch TV shows in little marathons if I can. My favorites are BSG, Heroes, How I Met Your Mother, It's Always Sunny, Flight of the Concords, The Big Bang Theory, Doctor Who, Torchwood, Firefly and Stargate just to give you a taste.
All types of music are ok by me except for country. My favorites right now include: Radiohead, Muse, Beirut, Pigeon John, Zion I, Michael Franti & Spearhead, 30 Seconds to Mars, and Floater.
I love food. I've was always taught to try everything once. I eat meat, veggies, some junk food, Chinese, Indian, Mexican, Vegan...on and on.

My thoughts are as sporadic as my interests. Consisting of a lot of "What if..?"
I've been musing on the fractal geometry of nature recently mostly trees and clouds, and how I could apply it to my Geography knowledge. I also try to perceive the world from others perspective because it helps me understand human nature, the world and myself more. I think about what's going on in the world, ambitions, dreams, planning for tomorrow, and family and friends, things I'd like to try, etc. Basically, I'm just trying to figure out the meaning of 'Life, The Universe, and Everything'.

Recently my Friday's have consisted staying in with a movie or relaxing with a couple beers at a friends. When the troops gather though you'll usually find me at the Matador.

I'm very open with my quirks so I don't really know what to put here.
