i am thoughtful, kind and gregarious. my unconventional childhood
gave me the freedom to develop my own ideas about how to live. a
curious mixture of opportunity, planning, and chance have guided me
to a fulfilling life in san francisco. i am a bit worker, but have
a full set of social skills and understand that life extends beyond
the glowing rectangle i gaze into daily. one of my hobbies is
meeting new people and making meaningful connections.
What I’m doing with my life
i've been lucky. my work has always been fun and interesting, and i
have not needed to concern myself too much with money. i have
amazing, brilliant friends who challenge and inspire me. i strive
to learn, to expand my mind and my heart, and the ever complicated
relationship between the two. i aspire to build ever better,
I’m really good at
i enjoy making positive and meaningful connections with people i
meet, but in such a way as to preserve our individual natures. i
tend to do well in a room full of strangers.
i'm pretty good at expressing ideas, small and large.
i'm happy in a kitchen and have some small skill at predicting how
the ingredients on the counter might taste if mixed and heated.
The first things people usually notice about me

I spend a lot of time thinking about
though it sounds rather grandiose i do spend time thinking about
how to make the world a better place. these thoughts come in many
forms and levels: how can i change myself to improve my local
world? how can we use technology to improve lives (rather then just
augment them)? how can we construct effective governments which
permit citizens to be free and fulfilled?
On a typical Friday night I am
ideally i'm spending time with good people, and frankly beyond that
it doesn't matter very much.
