My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Excited to start a great new job in Bristol, TN while I get my groove back and adjust to being out of graduate school.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm trying to have as much fun as possible and not take life TOO seriously.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Baking, petting cats, quoting the Golden Girls, multitasking, and awkwardness.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
My eyes, my expressive face, and my quirky sense of humor.

Addendum: facial hair.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
Books: I read almost anything. I have a penchant for trashy mystery novels, especially if they have recipes or talking animals. But I also enjoy absurdist literature (My Cousin, My Gastroenterologist), things about Nature (Mary Oliver's poetry, Ann Dillard's Pilgrim at Tinker Creek), and books about music and culture. I also have a growing collection of oddball cookbooks from the 1950s. I also just read Crapalachia by Scott McClanahan and fell in love with it.

Food: I bake. A lot. So if we become friends, you'd better be able to eat the occasional cookie, piece of cake, slice of bread, or piece of candy without making a frenzied dash straight to the gym.

Movies: Sunset Boulevard, Who's Afraid of Virginia Woolf, Clue, When Harry Met Sally, Girls Will Be Girls, Steel Magnolias, Best In Show, Dogtooth...basically if it is campy or depressing, I'm there!

TV: RuPaul's Drag Race, Golden Girls, Designing Women, Mary Tyler Moore, Murder She Wrote, Toddlers and Tiaras, Clean House (Niecy Nash and I would be best friends!).

And I really can't list my favorite music. It's what I study, I play a few instruments, and I like far too much to discuss without boring everyone slap to death.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1. Good friends.
2. Good food.
3. Good music.
4. Family.
5. Coffee.
6. My glasses/contacts.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
My place in the Universe and what I'm having for dinner.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
I could be doing lots of things, really - out having an adult beverage with friends, home slaving over my dissertation, baking a cake, going out to a concert...
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I have a beard simply because I am lazy.
