My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I recently moved here from Seattle where I've been cooking in fine dining for the past few years. Decided to move to LA because, as much as I love cooking, I feel that there's some purpose or passion in life which I haven't quite discovered yet, and I want the opportunity to explore what that might be.

In the meantime, I'm on here to make some new friends, do some dating, and explore the city.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I've met a million people since moving here and made a few great friends.

I'm learning to surf and hitting the beach a few times a week. I just started piano lessons, too. Went to 6 flags for the first time the other week, which was really fantastic and slightly terrifying!

I'm honestly having one of the best summers of my whole adult life, if only I had a nice girl to share it with.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my name, Gib.

I tend to get a lot of nicknames, my friends and coworkers often call me Gibby or Gibbers. Or, most recently, The Notorious GIB.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Right now I'm reading George RR Martin's books, Michael Crichton, and the Big Book of AA. Also I'm reading God in Search of Man by Heschel.

I randomly went to see a ballet the other week with some friends which was amazing. Also I really enjoyed the new Mad Max movie, and want to see Jurassic World.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Ice water
Pandora Radio
Life in a city by the sea
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why there are upwards-facing icicles on the ice cubes in my ice cube trays. I can't figure it out!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Making post-Shabbat service plans with friends, getting ready for a Saturday beach day, playing board games, or just chilling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
