My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.

I'm kind and generous and care deeply about my friends. I don't pretend to be someone I'm not. I'm usually funniest when I'm not intending to be or if I'm being sincere. Like a while back I wasn't thinking and accidentally put toothpaste on my razor and nearly cut myself!

One thing I've come to realize in life is that I'm terrible at pretending to be someone I'm not, so I try to be my genuine self as much as I can, even if it hurts more.

I don't have a ton of dating/relationship/sleeping around experience, but I'm putting myself out there as much as possible in the hopes of making that certain connection.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I recently moved here from Seattle where I've been cooking in fine dining for the past few years. Decided to move to LA to explore career options and possibly return to school.

It's been a summer of firsts. I've started learning to surf, I've been singing in a choir, volunteering in the weekends, and I even just started training for the LA marathon next year. I've never been this excited about life and what the future holds.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Cooking. I make a great roast duck a laorange wrapped in prosciutto with orange and prosecco glaze and cous cous, pine nuts and kale stuffing.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my name, Gib.

I tend to get a lot of nicknames, my friends and coworkers often call me Gibby or Gibbers. Or, most recently, The Notorious GIB.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
George RR Martin's books, Ray Bradbury, Michael Crichton, Robert Heinlein, Ray Bradbury, the Phantom Tollbooth

Bob's Burgers, any 90's sitcom, Game of Thrones

I'm really into horror movies right now, they're great with a good group of friends to keep company. I can't wait for the new Star Wars movies later this year.

I randomly went to see a ballet the other week with some friends. it's totally not something I'd ever have gone to if I wasn't invited, but Ihad am incredible time. I've seen some terrific and also some terrible plays recently, too.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Ice water
Iced coffee
Pandora Radio
Life in a city by the sea
Something to do
My sobriety

Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Why there are upwards-facing icicles on the ice cubes in my ice cube trays. I can't figure it out!
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Making post-Shabbat service plans with friends, getting ready for a Saturday beach day, playing board games, or just chilling.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
