My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Student at GVSU working on a degree in theatre. I'm pretty shy, but I do like meeting new people! It just takes a while for me to work up the courage to actually talk to them. I like being around people who aren't afraid to be a little silly - if you make me laugh, I'll probably like you more. Fledgling comic book fan. I love watching movies, but when I watch them I tend to talk through them. I also squirm a lot if I'm really into the movie. I've heard it's amusing.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Most of my time is taken up by either school or my job, so that's a thing. I work at a library and it's pretty great. The goal is to someday become a massage therapist, so we'll see how that goes.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
remembering things about pop culture that most people probably don't care about. I'm also pretty good at noticing little details in movies that most people definitely don't care about.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food

Books: The Book of Lost Things, Carrie, House of Leaves, World War Z, The Picture of Dorian Gray, all of the Sherlock Holmes stories, It, The Shining, Shutter Island. Been reading a lot of Agatha Christie and Poirot is great. To be honest, if it involves magic in some form I'd probably be into it.

Movies: The Avengers, The Losers, The History Boys, Sherlock Holmes (both of them), My Neighbor Totoro, Chronicle, The Social Network, ParaNorman, We Need To Talk About Kevin, Rodger and Hammerstein's Cinderella, City Island, Little Miss Sunshine, RED, Carrie, Chronicles of Narnia (all three, let's be honest), Les Miserables, Mirror Mirror, Mad Max: Fury Road, Now You See Me, Pacific Rim, Amelie

Shows: Elementary, Hannibal, Sleepy Hollow, The Adventures of Sherlock Holmes (Jeremy Brett is such a good Holmes ugh), Face Off, Midsomer Murders, How to Get Away With Murder, Inspector Lewis, Galavant, Daredevil

Music: Cartel, Hozier, Josh Groban (stop judging me), Michael Bublé (I said stop judging me), Jack's Mannequin, All Time Low, Matt Willis, My Chemical Romance, Little Mix, The Punch Brothers, We See Lights, McFly, Marianas Trench, Busted, Something Corporate, George Ezra

(also I listen to podcasts especially if Paul F. Tompkins is on it like WHAT a gem of a guy am I right)
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
My family, my friends, and the ability to look at funny pictures of dogs whenever I want all spring to mind.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Dogs. Always thinking about dogs.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
watching movies with friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have no desire to be around people who get really pretentious about films and music
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You want to say hi! Although it would be nice if you said something other than just 'hi'. Maybe send a joke or something.
