Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I am a single parent and a teacher. As much as I enjoy teaching at
the graduate level, I believe that education at the elementary
level is much more important. The earliest years of everyone's life
are the important.
I have traveled extensively in the United States and abroad.
Currently, I take my eight-year-old daughter on many "adventures."
We enjoy camping in National Parks, and we also enjoy staying at
nice resorts on beaches (see photos).
I seek a woman who wants to develop a lifelong relationship,
essentially marriage. I have a good life, but it would be a better
life if I could share it with a woman. As much as I enjoy traveling
and doing fun things, it is always more fun to share adventures. I
am a kind and loving man. In addition, I would prefer that my
daughter have both a mother and a father at home. It would be even
better if my daughter gains a sibling or two. My daughter and I are
always thinking of new places to go. What is the one place on earth
that you most want to visit?
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
The highest priority in my life is to be a good father. My greatest
hope for my daughter is that she has a happy life. As a teacher, I
thrive on continually learning new things. As a biochemist
constantly improve my understanding of how life works in atomic
detail. Currently am rebuilding a research project toward studying
the relationship between cancer and aging. I would enjoy discussing
my research with you. It is pretty exciting.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I am really good at communicating. Telling stories and jokes about
the chemistry of life is fun. You might think that medical students
would not like biochemistry. However, they consistently evaluate my
teaching with comments such as: amazing, wonderful, good jokes,
enthusiastic, etc. To be fair and balanced (unlike Fox News), I
must also acknowledge that some evaluations complain: "I do not
understand his lectures."

My sense of humor is original and unusual. When my daughter is
around she often tries to help by explaining: "Daddy is just making
a joke." My brother has a sense of humor that is even more original
and unusual than mine.

The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.

not a lot of time between picking my daughter up at school and
putting her to bed. However, in the time we have, we may read, do

I hope to hear from you if you like children. If you want to share
in a family life. If you enjoy going to movies, festivals, museums,
and beaches. If you would like to go on road trips as a complete
family, perhaps camping trips to national parks. If you want to
build a life-long relationship. I enjoy philosophical discussions
with people of all beliefs. I am fascinated by ancient history and
by the development of religions. However, you probably will not
like me if your God is the center of your life or if you seek a
partner to share a rigid religious belief system. Although I was
raised in a large extended family of Christian "fundamentalists," I
am not religious. Instead, I am a scientists. As a biochemist, I
understand how life evolved on earth.
