My self-summary
I am an artist, REALLY quirky (in an endearing way) and just sort of like to live my life :) I'm a ginger, a feminist, an arts advocate, a sexual freedom advocate, a singer, awkward, and clumsy. I love fish that are alive, but I won't eat them because I'm a vegetarian. I'd like to think that I'm very intelligent.
What I’m doing with my life
Well. I'm going to be an artist through whatever I end up actually doing. I would really like to be a professor, but I also entertain ideas about starting a nonprofit organization that specializes in art as a healing activity for people recovering from mental illness or trauma. I suppose my life at this point is sort of open ended.

That said, I'm an ophthalmic photographer. If you know what that is, I'm impressed. If you don't, prepare yourself for hours of disgusting information about eyes you never wanted to know. I love my job, despite its nonrelation to everything I've studied and worked towards.
I’m really good at
Singing, painting, having entertaining conversations, and surprising people in a variety of ways.
The first things people usually notice about me
My hair and my personality, I'm not like the other kids!

This said, please, please please, talk to me about something other than my hair. I know I have red hair, and I know I'm pretty. I have more interesting things to share with the world.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Oh boy. This is an interesting category...
Books: List too long... but among the top are Pilgrim at Tinker Creek, Pride and Prejudice, 1984, Brave New World, The Secret Life of Salvador Dali, Harry Potter, The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, The Long Dark Tea-Time of the Soul, Teaching a Stone to Talk etc etc etc. In short, I am most likely to be caught reading nerdy, humorous, and slightly odd literature or very profound almost philosophical but not quite kinds of things. Sadly, I don't read as much as I used to. I do wholeheartedly love literature though.

Movies/TV: Harold and Maude, Amelie, Ghostbusters, The Princess Bride, Waitress, Spirited Away, Howl's Moving Castle, Gilmore Girls, New Girl, Bunheads, Weeds, The Evil Dead, Gingerdead Man, Repo the Genetic Opera, House of Cards, Arrested Development, The Inexplicable Universe with Neil deGrasse Tyson, and a few others. I'm not a big TV watcher, though. There are things that I enjoy, but the viewings happen few and far between.

Music: REALLY too long to list. But lately I've been jamming to a lot of Mogwai, The Magnetic Fields, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeros, Fiona Apple, Regina Spektor, Amanda Palmer, Ingrid Michaelson, The Weepies, and a large selection of classical music, but on a typical day I usually fall back on Faure, Beethoven, or Mozart.

Food: I'm a veg head. And I love macaroni and cheese. And tofu. I'm terribly picky, but not in an irritating way I promise! I also love baked corn, green bean casserole, and applesauce. And tea.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The ways in which I could have ended conversations differently.
On a typical Friday night I am
Painting, sculpting, or any combination of the two. But I might also be doing social things if I have a worthy invitation!

Either that or I'm playing the ukulele.
