Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm taken now ^_^

... and I happen to be an INTJ, which happens to sum me up nicely.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Slowly working my way towards a good degree that gets me out of IT where I currently endure a rather dull job as software developer and administrator for various things.
I'm also spending plenty of time practicing English - a language that I've grown rather fond of.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
cooking... I might not be a chef - but this used to be a possible career choice of mine :-)
I'm also amazingly good at obsessing over little details when I should rather be looking at the big picture.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I am a rather quiet and shy person until I warm up to them.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I don't read much, but one book I thoroughly enjoyed lately was Agnes by Peter Stamm.

There are plenty of movies and shows I enjoy. Here are some of my favorites - that way you can form your own opinion: Lost in Translation, The Sunset Limited, Elizabethtown, Breaking Bad, The Man from Earth, Game of Thrones, Eureka, Chasing Amy, The Walking Dead, Django Unchained, Serial Experiments Lain, eXistenZ, Reservoir Dogs, Whatever Works, Firefly/Serenity, Event Horizon, Sherlock (BBC), Adaptation, Coupling, American Psycho, Finding Nemo, Dogma, Wall-E, The Boondock Saints, Shakespeare in Love, The Big Bang Theory, Romeo and Juliet, Desperado, Pitch Black, Adam's Äpfel, Interview with the Vampire, Stranger than Fiction.

My musical taste is quite varied. I don't fancy pop, hiphop or rap unless the lyrics are exceedingly clever, and I dislike the "typical" German folk music.
Music should either have a nice melody to it (I know this is rather vague) and/or feature particularly good lyrics - preferably both. Mindless lyrics can ruin the best song :-/
Most of the time I don't feel like picking something in particular to listen to and just head over to and listen to some of their stations (mostly Groove Salad, Lush and Digitalis).

I have a thing for Asian food (all the way from Indian to Japanese). Generally, as long as it's not icky, I will at least try it once :)
Oh, and I do not care for most soft cheeses.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
- my three little ginkgo trees
- my best friend in the US
- a very comfy bed
- sunny days in the park
- good movies/shows
- the internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
How to make the average day 48+ hours long :/

Previously this used to be how to properly work a guitar fret board - turned out the solution was filing your fingernails almost uncomfortably short. I needed something to do for when I couldn't focus on anything else, so I thought: why not try to learn how to play guitar. Unfortunately now I cannot even find the time to pick that thing up :(
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
either going to night school, or doing something I consider enjoyable - like watching movies, going to poetry slams (although technically those don't happen Friday nights around here) or spending time with friends. Going out to clubs is definitely not one of those things.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Seriously, I'm not sure what I could possibly still put in here... and that's not because I had things to hide ;-)
