I am wide eyed, innocent, and a bit disingenuous.

My Self-Summary

I'm blond, an animal lover(but not in a getting arrested/reported to the RSPCA kind of way), a voracious reader and I have a worryingly high tolerance to alcohol. Which is good but also very bad. I like my job, but sometimes suspect I should be doing something more useful. Mainly however I just think work should give me more money. I also like diggers, gin and playing Mah Jong with friends. Not that, to my knowledge, I have any enemies who play Mah Jong. Perhaps I should make some for purposes of comparison.

I am Scottish, but apparently have a West country accent, go figure. I have recently been disabused of my one year fear that I had a lisp. It was a bad VM recording. Phew.

What I’m doing with my life

Not entirely sure.

I’m really good at

Sarcasm, tending the sick, cooking felafel and offending people. Possibly in reverse order.

The first things people usually notice about me

what kind of "people" have this kind of conversation?

"Hi"
"Hi"
"Nice to meet you"
"Yes you too, so, tell me, what was the first thing you noticed about me?"

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Muriel Spark, Lawrence Durrell, Herman Hesse, John Wyndham, George
Orwell, Aldous Huxley, Oscar Wilde, Marcel Proust, Alexander McCall-Smith, Antonia Fraser, Robert van Gulik, Ian McEwan, Graham Green, Richard
Dawkins, Lewis Carroll, Donna Tartt (secret history only tho), Will
Self, Francoise Sagan, Roger Hargreaves other books.

(b)Clerks and Kevin Smith films in general, Butterfly Effect,
Titus, Cabaret.

(c)Ween, Cake, Pumpkins, Nouvelle Vague, Bossa Nova, Death in
Vegas, Stephane Pompougnac, Pixies, Louis Armstrong, Nina

(d) Oh dear lord I went vegan. Missing the chicken menses but pulling through on the new cake recipes. Not sure how long this will last.

The six things I could never do without

Diggers, friends, the moment, variations therupon. Things are great and all but never seems a bit dramatic.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Whatever I've been reading recently plus food.

Right now: Mildred's and angioplasty

On a typical Friday night I am

spangled, double dating with the gays, staying in with my flatmate watching improving DVDs such as Dante's Cove (life skills) and Colombo matinees(erm. more life skills), at the theatre (not watching a musical), being decadent with the Last Tuesday Society (more accurately laughing at attempted decadence and making people called Rupert buy me drinks), at a gig, or out dancing.

On a good night, all of the above. Simultaneously.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I can lick my own elbow: fact.
