I am silly, sincere, and smart.
My Self-Summary
I have lived in Charlotte since the summer of 2008 and I really
like it. It's close to my hometown of Greenville, SC. I love to
sing,
salsa dance,
work out,
travel, hang out with friends and I
like to stay active. I like to try new things and I am committed to
a healthy lifestyle. Sometimes, though, I just can't resist sweet
treats. My biggest weakness is ice cream.
Music is one of my passions. I have been singing since I can
remember. My dad says I was singing before I could talk. I grew up
singing in the church, but the kids at school started to notice I
could sing when they heard me on the school playground. I sing just
about everything. I love Jazz, showtunes, hyms and anything with
soul.
I'm a people person. Every job I have ever had has required people
skills. I especially love working with kids. I may be serious at
times, but I have a silly side that kids bring out in me the most.
I have a passion for defending and helping children. People in
general fascinate me. I am very inquisitive about human nature and
society, always wanting to know the movitations behind people's
thoughts and behaviors.
I want to see the world. I have been to several countries, but I'm
still not satisfied. I have been to Colombia many times to visit my
extended family. I've also been to Chile, Argentina, England and
Puerto Rico. This year I have plans to visit Spain and possibly
China. We'll see what happens. :)
I am a very spiritual person. I am blessed to have wonderful
friends, a loving family, a good education and a rewarding career.
I am
Catholic and
I would love to meet more people that share my faith. I also have
respect and appreciation for other faiths, beliefs and ways of
thinking. I try to see the beauty and the grain of truth in
everything. Life is too short to be negative.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a social worker for a non-profit in Charlotte. I work with
middle school children and their families. I also do a little
singing on the side. :) I am a member of a very talented choir in
Charlotte. I spend much of my time working, going to the gym,
rehearsing for performances, singing, dancing, traveling and
hanging out with family and friends.
I’m really good at
I am good at languages. I speak Spanish fluently, and I want to
master Portuguese and Italian as well. I am also a good singer,
dancer, social worker, listener, conversationalist, public speaker,
procrastinator, writer, helper and friend. :)
The first things people usually notice about me
I have been told I have a nice smile. :)
