My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Hello, I'm Indigo (yep. That's actually on my name) and I thought I'd give this whole OkCupid thing a shot.
I'm in college studying theatre and I am minoring in gender studies. I'm definitely a bibliophile. I tend to be curled up with a book whenever it's possible for me to be. Because of my job my reading list is about 5 miles long.
I can get lost on YouTube for hours watching spoken word pieces. I swear. You watch one thing a friend sends and then suddenly you've watched 20 pieces of slam poetry and both of your feet are asleep.
I watch way too many movies, and I will watch almost anything. If I ever have free time, I like to spend it with my nose in a book or with a video game. Photography is also a passion of mine. I love capturing the world around mee through the lens of a camera. It can be my canon or my iPhone camera, just give me a subject and I'm happy. I'm currently the photographer for an improv group in my city and capturing their antics is the highlight of my week.
Feminism and Gender Studies are huge parts of my life. If I didn't plan on acting I would probably go into sex education or become a professor.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm working on getting my degree and then moving to a bigger city. Chicago or NYC would be ideal. All I want is a flat in Brooklyn with a steady acting gig. In addition to acting, I also design stage makeup. I'm surprisingly good at making people look dead or gluing things to their faces.
Until I finish my degree I will be spending my days working in a bookstore and my nights rehearsing.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
I'm pretty proud of my photography. I'm by no means a professional, but I studied photography for two years so it's definitely a passion of mine. I love singing and I'm not terrible. I guess if I want to go into the musical theatre business I should probably start singing in front of people. Unless someone creates a show/series about singing in the car, then I'm golden. Oh, and not to brag, but I have been told I bake the world's best brownie.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
According to my friends it's my eyes or my ridiculous curls. I apparently also have a pretty distinct's loud.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
The Green Mile, Cell, the Harry Potter Series, The Dresden Files, Divergent, Full Frontal Feminism, Simon R Green's Nightside series, the first few Anita Blake books (the series got weird very quickly unfortunately), The Hunger Games, the Series of Unfortunate Events, Peter Pan, A Wrinkle in Time, Treasure Island, The Hobbit (My first tattoo was inspired by this book. It has a very special place in my heart.), Lord of the Rings, How to Survive a Horror Movie, The Scott Pilgram Series. Chuck Palahniuk and David Sedaris are pretty great too.
There are a lot more but I can't think of them right now.

I love movies. I'm a big fan of horror movies and almost anything by Tarantino. I obviously can't list all of my favorites but I thought I'd list a few.
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Kill Bill 1 & 2
Empire Records
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Can't Hardly Wait
Celeste & Jesse Forever
Anything by Miyazaki/Studio Ghibli (Totoro,Howl's Moving Castle, etc.)
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
28 Days Later
Stand By Me
Whip It!
Charlie's Angels
Evil Dead
Perks of Being a Wallflower
Star Trek
Hunger Games
Julie & Julia
Lord of the Rings Trilogy
Last House on the Left
Love Actually

......and more.
I'm not really a rom/com person. I actually tend to like movies where people fall in love but don't end up together.

I don't think I could begin to list my favorites.
My all time favorites are Veronica Mars and Firefly.
A few of the other shows I like are The Walking Dead, Star Trek, Leverage, Fringe, American Horror Story, Buffy The Vampire Slayer, Sherlock, Six Feet Under, Dead Like Me, and Castle. I also absolutely adored the version of Treasure Island Eddie Izzard just did. It was wonderful.

I could live on coffee, tea, and sushi. I'm not picky by any means though. I am the daughter of two chefs so I was raised with the, "try anything once", mindset.

Eddie Izzard makes my soul happy and has been one of my favorite comedians for ages. A friend of mine is a huge fan of stand up comedy and I've started listening to more stand up specials and podcasts while I work. If you have any suggestions for comedians please send them my way!
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
1) Books
2) Theatre
3) My family
4)Good Coffee
5) A Camera
6) Good movies
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Like most people a lot of my time is spent freaking out about the future. If my mind isn't preoccupied by that though then I am probably thinking about a book or my latest tattoo idea. I also have the typical college theatre major thoughts of, "when can I fit a nap into my day?" or "who do I have to screw/kill to get a cup of coffee!?"
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
It just depends on the Friday. Sometimes I'm out with friends. Sometimes I'm in pajama pants and curled up watching a movie.
You should message me if
Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You have any questions or you want know more about me.
You appreciate really lame jokes.
You don't mind awkward attempts at small talk. I swear I'm more relaxed than I sound initially. Text based communication is not my forte.
You wanna talk about feminism and equal rights. Seriously. I could chat about it for hours.
You think cuddling and watching Lord of the Rings would make for a kick ass night.
Honestly if you're just interested in talking. Good conversation is always nice.
