I am currently seeing someone romantically, but I'm on OKcupid right now mainly to find platonic friends and activity partners locally here in Salt Lake City. Women would be preferable, but I have many male friends, but few here in town.

I love to play guitar and banjo and Rock Band drums. I would love to start welding again and Make Big Art, but I haven't made it a priority. I love going to Burning Man, I miss having a motorcycle, and I love camping. I learned how to fly fish last summer and I caught precisely one little creature. I think I was meant to be a gypsy. Can I sew you a pair of plaid pants? I enjoy coffee shops, coffee, and used book stores and libraries. I like playing video games but my thumb hurts if I play just a little. I love long road trips and Jeep Wranglers, but what girl doesn't? I like rock climbing, but I'm not very good.

Working. Snuggling my cat. Deciding where to live next - Pacific coast, yes, but where? I'm currently dabbling in Buddhist junk. I lived in California for 10 years, where there is a new age hippy on every corner, but it took me moving to Mormon Mecca to dabble in the Buddhist thing. I like going to both a Zen and a Shin place. Quite different, but interesting. I'm thinking of going back to school to upgrade my AA degree.

Folks say I'm creative. I think I can draw and paint decently when I practice enough. I'm not very good at sculpture but I wish I was. I go to sleep really well. Some people say I have a nice singing voice. I keep most of my houseplants alive. I cook a mean cornish game hen for my cat.

I am mainly a non-fiction reader. I love renting sci fi tv series from Netflix (I'm mourning the lack of new BSG.) I love bluegrass, chill, all sorts of music. I love good food, be it a simple chicken soup, or a very, very nice piece of sushi. Sushi is my favorite. It gives me tingles, truly, when it's done up really well. Beer and chili, whatever. Mmm.

The six things I could never do without Propose an edit

My milk frother (for coffee), white terrycloth bathrobe, laptop, my three-legged cat, good friends, and travel. In the last year or so I've driven from Detroit to move to Utah. I've taken a train to the bay area to go to Burning man in Nevada, I've gone fly-fishing in Colorado, flew to San Francisco for the weekend to visit friends, drove to Yellowstone and back on a whim weekend vacation, flew to Montana for Thanksgiving, flew to Southern California for a wedding, and now I am planning a trip in the next few months to visit Portland for the first time. Oh, there was another California trip during that time for yet another wedding. :) Weddings are a great excuse to get out of the state, I find.
