Books: First to authors that come to mind are Irvine Welsh and Orwell.

Shows: The Wire, Newsroom, Dexter, Sons of Anarchy, Archer, Homeland, etc. I haven't had cable in 4 years so I don't watch a lot of TV.

Movies: Usually anything that makes me think a little, indie/foreign stuff, comedies, the odd horror flick.

Music: I could write forever about this as I'm mildly obsessed but here are some recent listens - Burial, Daughn Gibson, Flying Lotus, Youth Lagoon, Tame Impala, Bjork, Jamie Lidell, Arthur Russell, Daughter, Solange, The Gaslamp Killer, Nicolas Jaar, Four Tet, Shlomo, Beach House, Mount Kimbie, Olafur Arnalds, Philip Glass...
So pretty much everything from classical to alternative rnb, folk to dub, indie to ambient and I try to take in as many concerts as possible.
