I'm Ashlee. I am shy, and although I don't open up easily at first, I am very nice, and if you take the time to get to know me you will find that out. I think far more than what I actually say, but I am an excellent listener. I work overnights at Target, and some days at a flower shop with my mom.

I like reading books, mostly fiction(unless the topic is on gender, or Indian cultures), and I like reading them on my porch in the summer, early in the morning. I like exploring, and going on adventures. I like being surrounded by a lot of trees, and sometimes climbing them, or planting them, or just sitting by them no matter what time of year. I enjoy riding in the car, expecially during thunderstorms. I like to be in places other than Buffalo, although I don't make it out of here very often.

I love to paint, mostly nudes and various inside-the-body parts (ie. hearts, brains, intestines, eyeballs) and sometimes portraits. I collect antique boxes, postcards, books, keys, etc. I like writing/recieving letters, I am great at writing them. I listen to a lot of folk music. I like to sew, although I don't do too much of that anymore, unless I have tears in my clothing.

I like to garden, and the feel of dirt. I like playing board games, or word games, especially Scrabble. Or puzzles, crossword puzzles, sudoku, word finds, etc. I sleep with my television on, and watch The Golden Girls whenever I can. My mom, sister, and I like to watch it together because they are the funniest girls, and remind us of ourselves.

I also like going for long walks, cutting my own hair, The Vagina Monologues, the feel of anothers skin, that campfire smell in your clothing, fall, movie marathons, cultural anthropology, taking naps, laughing, being close to someone(a girl/boyfriend or not), animals, being outdoors, short hair, old library books, big hugs, paint stained fingers, pale skin, reading my horoscope, and people with a lot of things to tell me and teach me about.

I would like to go to school soon for art, painting more specifically, and maybe a few courses in anthropology. But right now I am working, and living with a couple of great friends.

I'd like to say that I am a good listener, and friend, reader, lover.

I am female, and also that I am quiet.

I will read just about anything. A few of my favorite authors are Daniel Evan Weiss, David Sedaris, Franz Kafka, Patrick Suskind, and Jack Kerouac, and I am discovering more new and amazing authors every day.
My favorite book would have to be The Roaches Have No King by Daniel Evan Weiss.

I like a lot of movies, but dislike any comedy with Will Ferrel. A lot of musicals. Seven Brides for Seven Brothers, My Fair Lady, Calamity Jane; Also, Girl, Interrupted, Eternal Sunshine, The Secretary, The Dreamers, Lord of the Rings, Little Miss Sunshine, and nazi war movies.

I can listen to and enjoy any and all music types. Some bands/musicians I prefer are W. Elliot Whitmore, Ryan Adams, Lucero, Oren Lavie, and many more.

As far as food goes, I am trying to eat more healthy. Contrary to popular belief I am not a vegetarian. I don't like seafood of any kind. I love fruits and vegetables, especially potatoes and raspberries. I love meatloaf, blt sandwiches, potato bread, and Dr. Pepper.

I could never do without socks.

A lot of things.

I work every Friday night from 10pm to 7am.
