I am geeky, sarcastic, and intriguing.

My Self-Summary

I'm really an eclectic kind of guy, with a broad range of interests. That being said I *love* to gamble (poker night? Hell yes, even better if it is in Vegas) and I do enjoy playing video games whenever I have some time off...which is becoming increasingly rarer as school and work take up more and more of my time. I also quite enjoy making trips to Disneyland when given the chance. I just enjoy living up the inner child now and again =P

I also *really* like tattoos, though I have none myself. That isn't to say that I won't have one in time but for now I'm holding out until when inspiration hits. Or a bottle of Whiskey....that will usually hit me pretty hard also and much more often than inspiration does.

I'm pretty damn sarcastic/witty. And modest apparently. Seriously though, you must have a sense of humor or it just won't work. I really don't have limits on the kind of stuff I say when I'm with friends or people I'm comfortable with, so if you're easily offended don't let me get comfortable.

I don't like the IM on here (and thus, often have it turned off), but if you find yourself desperate to talk to me I highly recommend:

What I’m doing with my life

Right now I'm at school and completing my bachelors degree in Computer Science (edit: now an IT degree. Less math and still lets me do what I want in life. Win - win for all involved). I greatly look forward to tentative graduation of spring 2011. I've been wanting to move away from California for a while now(Seattle...or Portland would do nicely) but I figure a degree would make that whole process just a tad easier. I'm also thinking about taking biology as a minor. Always liked that area and you need computers in biology! You know what else needs computers and biology? Androids. Yeah that's right, think about that for a while.

I work in computer repair for a retail chain (three guesses where) and I definitely enjoy what I do though the customers really leave a lot to be desired. I suppose that's what anyone says in retail though. Thank god for the amazing discount though.

I’m really good at

Making you laugh or fixing your broken electronics. Or a combination of the two.

Also I'm really good at getting along with people, usually can get on OK with any crowd.

And making exceptionally strong drinks. As in, good luck standing up for longer than a minute or so. I think it's the poor hand/eye coordination that makes me not lift the bottle up in time.

Annnnnnnnnnd forgetting things. I forget things really well. Example...if you've noticed me on your stalker list more than once, it's most likely because I've forgotten I even looked at your profile before. Nothing personal, I just have a horrible memory and am easily distracted by that which is shiny.

The first things people usually notice about me

My laugh, by far. Seriously...you can hear it from far away. It's like a homing beacon.

Aside from that, probably the fact that I look like and joke like Seth Rogen. I'll take it though, it's much better than looking like...say...Hitler. Not too shabby when you look at it like that.

I also look like I'm adopted when compared to my immediately family. I swear I'm Italian, you just can't always tell. Except when I curse, I fit in when I do that.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

Books: A Song of Ice and Fire series (it's ridiculously long, but I'm reading them anyways), Ender's Game , Predictably Irrational, Jonathan Strange and Dr. Norell, the Harry Potter series, Otherworld by Tad Williams, The Giver(greatly under rated book!), the Dark Tower series, anything by Dan Brown, Tom Clancy novels, Calvin & Hobbes, American Gods, Anansi Boys, computer books (I'm sick, I know), and most recently lots and lots of Sherlock Holmes (yay for 1800's English mysteries). Pretty much anything else that strikes my fancy as well I suppose

Movies: love all kinds of movies, but in particular The Usual Suspects, Grosse Pointe Blank, Kung Fu Hustle, Godfather I & II(III can fuck itself), Elf, Man on Fire, Kings of Comedy, Inside Man, Who Framed Roger Rabbit, Hudson Hawk, But I'm a Cheerleader, 50 First Dates, The Unforgiven, James Bond movies, Knocked Up, Better Off Dead, 40 Year Old Virgin, the new Batman movies,Princess Bride, *any* Mel Brooks film(Robin Hood: Men in Tights, Spaceballs, Young Frankenstein, Blazing Saddles, etc..), Iron Man, Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz, V for Vendetta, When Harry Met Sally, Run Fat Boy Run, Superbad(I am McLovin), Forgetting Sarah Marshall, The Emperor's New Groove, Fight Club, Serenity, Zack and Miri make a pornoGone in 60 Seconds, and so much more. Seriously, I really like movies.

I also like most music, though I can't really stand country or what passes for rap now a days. In particular I really like Muse, Regina Spektor, Spoon(recent find that I'm in love with), Wolfmother, Ben Folds, TV on the Radio, Arcade Fire, Band of Horses, MGMT, Matt Costa, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Kings of Leon, Cake(who doesn't like cake?...and yeah. pun totally intended, hope you don't mind puns because I got more), Hot Hot Heat, Modest Mouse, Kaiser Chiefs, Franz Ferdinand, The Flaming Lips, Foo Fighters, Cold War Kids, The Beatles, Radiohead, The Decemberists, The Arcade Fire, Arctic Monkeys, The Raconteurs, Andrew Bird, Ok Go, Rilo Kiley, The Strokes, newer Tom Waits(that "I just smoked a pack of cigs while running a mile sound just does it for me),The Fratellis, Flogging Molly, most classic rock, older Weezer(when it was good), and a bunch of other great music.

Television(I'm throwing it in here, because it should be): Heroes, House(if you haven't heard of it I really recommend Hugh Laurie's book "The Gun Seller"), Lost, Bones, Battlestar Gallactica, Firefly (a horribly underrated show, damn you Fox!), and I think I have an unhealthy obsession with Mythbusters

I love pretty much all types of food, though Italian/Mexican/Japanese&Sushi/Thai are up there with my favorites. Trip to a local Mongolian BBQ is usually a favorite too. I have an obsession with grilled veggies. Mushrooms, onions, and mmmm poblano chilies. Seriously, I love that stuff.

The six things I could never do without

Sadly enough, I have to admit I don't think I would survive without my iPhone at this point. I am addicted and need serious help.

iPhone aside, my computer, car, and a good stiff drink at least every week is a requirement......and pizza. I love me some pizza. I also make a pretty mean pizza, but I don't know how much of a valuable/impressive skill that is. Only time will tell.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Where I am right now and where I should be.

On a typical Friday night I am

There's really no typical Friday night, and I'm usually pretty content doing just about anything

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I usually don't think before speaking. Seriously, there's a damn disconnect in the wiring up there for thoughts to go through my mouth before the brain. It's not cool, I'm looking into surgery to correct this but so far doctors just look at me weird when the subject is brought up.

I curse entirely too much than is probably healthy or appropriate but I'm not stopping anytime soon.

I used be *quite* a big guy, now I'm a much less so of a big guy. Still kind of big, but I've lost a crap-ton(it's a word....possibly) of weight, and I'm very proud of myself.

Also: I know I probably shouldn't be proud of it but I like how many questions I've answered on here. It makes me think the match percentages on here are a little more accurate for it.

You should message me if

You like kinda geeky, kinda dorky, kinda funny guys or you want to know more.

or you have tattoos and/or glasses.

I usually depend heavily on the star rating system to determine if there's an interest or if it's worth emailing. I'm not a huge fan of "cold" emailing people so I wait to see if there's a rating match. Weird, I know! But it's worked out thus far so we'll see.
