What I’m doing with my life
I have a law degree! And I'm moving to Quito in August for a
fellowship in refugee and asylum law. I have prematurely changed my
location because I'm so excited about it.
I’m really good at
Having just the right jumpsuit for the occasion. Cooking for 50.
Thinking up projects. Long backpacking trips/chilling in the woods.
Being loyal to a fault. Losing my keys. Honest and open
communication (at least, I aspire to be good at this. And it's
key).
The first things people usually notice about me
Wide eyes. Wide smile. Overenthusiastic hand gestures.
I am often described on first meetings as "nice." I like to get down with other people who could also be described as nice.

Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like nonfiction and poetry, documentaries and comedies, RuPaul's
Drag Race, and mostly vegan food (with an occasional exception for
fish, and a more frequent exception for dairy). I prefer books over
television and dance music over every other kind of music.
The six things I could never do without
1. Sunshine
2. Airplanes
3. Spandex
4. Otherwise, I am pretty flexible.
Being open to meeting new people is important to me. I've had a profile on couchsurfing.org for about 5 years and while it's not necessary to my being I think it's an amazing project: http://www.couchsurfing.org/people/alisarose3/

I spend a lot of time thinking about
Bike routes, the next adventure, what to do with my life, what to
make for dinner, what music I would play if I started my own yoga
studio (Erykah Badu/Regina Spektor, probably), how to be
anti-racist and fight homophobia and transphobia, privilege!, wow
that's a hot girl, no that's a 12 year old boy, gender roles,
chosen family, how to play that pop song on my ukulele, mass
incarceration in the USA, what goes on in other peoples'
heads....um, honestly, usually lately I am thinking about legal
theory. Also, I think this paragraph just took me 30 minutes to
write.
On a typical Friday night I am
Dancing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
This is not private at all, but just wanted to tell you that I
prefer to identify as queer. I am excited about dating people with
many different gender presentations/identities.
I’m looking for
- Guys and girls who like bi girls
- Ages 23–35
- Near me
- For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating, activity partners
You should message me if
you are passionate. you are down-to-earth. you like to boogie.
