I am an academic who religiously watches The Search for America's
Next Top Model. My fashion vacillates between preppy belts with
whales and tacky tee-shirts from threadless. com. My decor is a
cross between shabby chic and lawn gnome kitsch. I am a vegetarian
who is addicted to Lucky Charms. I am a neat freak, but I never
iron. I am a little goofy, but I am told it is very endearing.
What I’m doing with my life
I teach theater and drama courses (history, not performance), and I
also run an internship program for students interested in politics.
I am committed to my students and love my jobs.

Books -- Poisonwood Bible, Devil in the White City, Notes on a
Scandal. (My sentimental faves are The Little Prince and Catcher in
the Rye.)
Movie -- The Sound of Music, Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory, Fight Club, History of the World, Part 1, Heathers, Dangerous Liasons, Juno.
Music -- Showtunes. Bruce Springsteen, Mary Chapin Carpenter, Indigo Girls, Bare Naked Ladies, They Might Be Giants. I am also fond of jazz (especially Ann Hampton Callaway), standards, and cabaret.
Food--I believe there are three kinds of pizza -- good pizza, great pizza, and AMAZING pizza. I am mostly a vegetarian. (Actually, I am a carbotarian and a cerealatarian.) But I will try mostly any genre of food. I especially love Sushi, Greek, Thai, and I adore Cuban food (I am from Miami).
