Hi!

I think there is almost nothing so precious as learning to see the world in a new way, because each time you do, the universe becomes a more expansive and wondrous place. I will never let any idea or person intimidate me. I have a playful disposition and ruthlessly analytical mind. I'm creative to a fault and I constantly challenge myself with new ideas and experiences. I find myself gently undermining any dogmatic ideological system I bump into. I deconstruct status quo beliefs but also combat the malicious hypocritical narrowness of those that disdain standards. This includes the ideologies I love and value.

I have a great deal of interest and concern in politics but I have to admit that I'm sickened by the bestial viciousness and willful ignorance that pervades contemporary affairs. I was raised in a fairly liberal family and that is where my heart still finds moral sanity, but my views have become tempered by some of the harsh realities that I have come to accept from my studies. Still, I enjoy helping people because thoughtful compassion is its own reward.

My general manner is stoic and patient, but I am a deeply passionate person with an indomitably playful side. I feel you get the most out of what you give the most. I'm poetically enamored with the idea of the anima and animus. I don't dream of many conquests but instead of finding one passion so deep and honest that through my love of her I touch that essence which is all women. There is nothing more compellingly erotic to me than the ecstasy of a woman experiencing the full sensuality of her femininity. I tend to enjoy those things that my lover enjoys the most. I feel that honest communication and nonjudgmental exploration is key both in and out of the bedroom. I have had friends and lovers but the best relationships are ones that forge a synergy out of both these possibilities. Passion adds depth and vitality to friendship while trust unleashes the true potential of romantic love.

Creating the future. I am part of a small research group building a mind from scratch on a computer. It is a speculative high risk venture but we are making surpisingly good progress and it will change everything if we suceed.

Creative problem solving. Learning new tricks. Long deep conversations and massages. Teaching - I can teach anybody anything and I love doing it. Handling crises - I am at my best when everyone else is freaked out.

More mundanely, I think I have good days in which I can sing and cook well.

I dunno? "Big Bald Guy" I guess. The second things that people notice is that I am articulate and intense.

D) Well, there is a difference between the foods I love and the foods I will eat because I am health conscious. Why do my entries to this section keep disappearing?

This section used to ask who i would like to trade brains with. That question is wrong on so many levels, but frankly it is not too far off the kind of esoterica that I find myself absorbed in.

I like to take subjects of which people tend to hold dichotomous views and figure out how they can be synthesized. Sometimes this takes the form of finding common ground but often it take the form of a fresh deeper look at the underlying issues the renders the conflicy moot. Random examples would be nature versus nurture. Have aliens visited us? Moral absolutism versus relativism. rductionism versus synthetic views.

Figuring out something new to do. I don't mind a quiet night around the house but I don't like getting in a rut so i am usually looking for something interesting to do, preferably with a person.

I saw Thelma and Louise in the theater and got misty eyed at the end.

On a less modest note:

I respect most those people who are open to new experiences and ideas, who are not afraid to use both their heads and their hearts and who have kindness and love of life folded into their very beings. I would like a playmate with whom I can explore both the dark and the sublime. I want a partner that I can count on and who expects no less of me. I long for someone who is not afraid of affection, love and sensuality but who also takes them seriously. I look for people who are ready to challenge their minds and bodies. I would like someone who is comfortable with a warm lingering embrace at the end of a challenging day. I enjoy people I can occasionally take care of and spoil and who like reciprocating the sentiment. I appreciate people who are interested in working through problems while striving to bring out the best in themselves and those around them. I admire people who understand the difference between intelligence and wisdom. I need someone that can pause to hear the silent sadness of life without losing sight of tangible hope for both the present and the future. I find nurturing endearing and ambition sexy. I seek someone who is a whole individual, but who senses they can become something more with the right person.
