I take life as it comes, one day at a time for the most part but with an eye to the future always. I enjoy reading, love a few sports (baseball and college basketball, in particular) with a passion that my friends tease me about, and like to spend time out with friends doing whatever. I am not about to say "never" about listening to something new or trying something new...these just happen to be my preferences to date...life is about continuing to have new experiences! (Well, maybe there are a few things I would throw in the never category...but not closing the door on everything!! :) )
I am considerate, giving, patient, and empathetic, but hold little tolerance for selfish people who think the world revolves around them...

Music - Not really into country, opera, or rap...tend to favor rock and listen to contemporary music. Concerts are fun, too. My iPod holds music from the 60's on up and I keep adding current stuff including music videos. While I may not be a major fan of some genres there is a good chance you will find a surprise here and there...from La Traviata to Save a Horse, Ride a Cowboy!

LOVE a road trip... Travel by airplane is good too! I am making it more a part of my life these days.

I am young at heart, and forget that real age number most of the time; I am looking for someone who feels and thinks the same way. Life is too much fun and too short to be or act old!

Thankfully, I am working full time in a job I enjoy with normal hours Monday - Friday. Taking a trip now and then, too... Getting out with friends as often as I can too. Just trying to live this life!

Listening, remembering things about people, my job...rooting for my favorite teams!

Favorites:
Movies - Yikes..lots! I like movies! Frequency, For Love of the Game, The Natural, The Day the Earth Stood Still (original), Love Actually, Sliding Doors, Chocolat, Wedding Crashers, Weird Science, Multiplicity, It Happened One Night, Legends of the Fall, the Lord of the Rings trilogy, and anything with Cary Grant! I also have a love of all comic book heroes/characters, too...so Ironman, X-Men, Fantastic Four, etc...I'm at the movies AND buying the DVD... My favorite comic book as a kid? Thor!

Books - I am a romantic at heart and will always be. I tend to read to escape so romantic fiction is my first choice. Doesn't mean I don't read other genre at all, just that my first choice is the escape... Having said that...I am always up for a good recommendation from a friend in this area and enjoy reading book reviews for other possibilities. I also read the paper daily...have to keep up on reality too!

Music - Love music of the 70's (and have a special collection as a huge playlist on my iPod) but love current stuff too. Who would I see in concert given the chance? Yellowcard (WILL travel to see, and have numerous times), Bon Jovi, Daughtry, Paul McCartney (!!!), Ryan Cabrera, Josh Kelley, Graham Colton, The Fray, Nickelback, Lifehouse, Carolina Liar...to name a few! Enjoy American Idol too!

Food - love seafood, Mexican, Italian, Cantonese, steaks, chops, chicken, etc...and a must anyday, chocolate! What I don't like...spicy or hot anything!!

My kids, my friends, hot showers, chocolate, summer, baseball.

Fridays...end of the week, and I am often just chilling at home, watching TV or a movie, and probably doing the laundry that never seems to end...or going out with friends...

...I'll get back to you on that one! Or then again...maybe NOT!
