I take pride in my work, but it does not define me. I consider myself grounded but a little left of center. I love art in all of it's manifestations: music, film, comics, nature, great conversation, hilarity, and a buzz to go along with all of it. A cheese plate never hurts.

I'm obsessed with the magical and elusive NYC experiences and adventures that cannot be chased but rather present themselves when you least expect them.

I spend too much sweet moolah on the myriad concerts that NYC is known for, and I make a killer mixtape. Play your cards right and you may get one...

I love to cook, and I'm damn good at it. If given the opportunity, I will seduce you with my cooking, if not my creative baking.

Busting my ass to live and survive in NYC and discover its secrets. Trying to take advantage of the live music & art here, drink good wine & scotch, and create as many amazing connections I can. It would be nice to find someone who can appreciate all this with me and more.

High-5ing. I give a solid high-5 every single time. None of that awkward half-miss business.

I'm also really good at finding awesome things to do to maximize life in NYC (that aren't necessarily publicized) in terms of music, art, food, drinks etc. I tend to be lucky in winning stuff.

I recently asked a couple of people (awkwardly explaining that it's for the purpose of completing this section of my profile) and they said my smile. So there you go.

Books- I'm an avid reader. All-time faves include Robbins, Vonnegut, Atwood, and Sedaris. Also have an obsession with comics/graphic novels. Alison Bechdel, Alex Robinson & Craig Thompson are geniuses.

Movies - Lynch, Gondry, Kaufman, Rohmer, Park, Almodovar, Burton, Coppola, S., Tarantino. Anything visually stunning, complex, clever, great dialogue. Or anything that involves sectionals/regionals/nationals or a dance-off. Come to the movies with me, and I'll show you how a double-header is done properly.

TV - Freaks & Geeks, Arrested Development, Twin Peaks, The Inbetweeners, Mad Men, Parks & Recs, HIMYM, New Girl. I'll give anything a chance as long as it's well-written and well-acted. Or if it's just hilarious. But I refuse to watch Hoarders, it gives me a sad. :(

Music - I'm constantly absorbing new stuff. All time faves include Beck, Radiohead, Pavement, Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Holly Golightly, TV On The Radio. Live everyone else, there are too many to list. I often re-visit oldies. I save my ticket stubs and I've been tracking all concerts I go to on a spreadsheet for years. I need a concert bud!

Food- in spite of being a vegetarian, my palate is fairly diverse in terms of cuisine. I have a CSA share, and I get tons of awesome normal stuff and a bit of really weird stuff like garlic scapes, kholrabi, cardoons. I enjoy looking up and cooking up new recipes.

Dream analysis.

Depends on how active my week has been and what happens to be going on that night. Sometimes it's nice to just spend a Friday night in.

Frequently checking out exhibits at the Whitney (member) or MOMA. (I keep an active spreadsheet of current exhibitions too.)

I am a spectacle to behold whilst eating corn on the cob.
