My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm a stout-drinking, education-policy making, pie-baking, farmers-market-obsessed, pumpkin-loving, coffee-guzzling, tea-enthusiast and adventure-seeker living in the Bay.

I'm equally passionate about school reform as I am about baking pies. I'm committed to striking a healthy work-life balance that will let me enjoy it all. I value a lot of the smaller things in life like: theming thanksgiving, rolling down hills and climbing trees, eating flintstone push-up popsicles well into "adult hood", watching cake decorating videos on YouTube, late-night basketball games, eating every product ever produced by Trader Joe's, google-imaging pictures of cute puppies, watching guilty pleasure tv shows, crossing things off lists, and indulging in an episode of The West Wing before bed.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I aspire to do good, always be on an adventure, and forge meaningful relationships with my life. Maybe i've left something out, but I think everything else falls into those buckets.

Career-wise, I'm dedicating my nine-to-five to education policy. Making our system more equitable is a serious challenge and I'd like to make a dent towards progress. I went to Berkeley for undergrad and grad school (go bears!) and now work in ed policy in Oakland.

Work-life balance is important to me. I'm passionate and serious about my work, but I'm also committed to making ample time each day for family, friends, and adventure.

I spend a significant portion of my life brunching (often multiple times a week), reading about and baking desserts, and exploring the outdoors, rock climbing, watching good and bad television, and thinking about all the places I'd like to travel.

On that note, in 2015 I'll be going on a bit of a wold tour. So now, I spend a good amount of time researching all the amazing places I want to see in the world. I've got the most beautiful excel spreadsheet for my trip. If you have any travel recommendations, I'd love to hear it!

Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
limbo (for real, no one - except for a 7 year old - has beaten me). going overboard for holiday parties. picnicing (i also go overboard on those).
