I am a sports fanatic, an animal lover, and pretty down to earth.

My Self-Summary

I am a health & Phys. Ed. teacher and I also coach field hockey & lacrosse. Life is pretty busy for me during the school year, but I try to relax and spend most of my summer down the shore. I'm a bit skeptical when it comes to online dating, but I'm 31 and haven't had too much luck elsewhere, so I figure I've got nothing to lose. I'm a huge sports fan - and love going to games. Originally from South Jersey, so I am a Philadelphia sports fanatic - try not to hold it against me. I consider myself a very laid back person. I do not enjoy the fast paced life - I would choose a sports bar over a club, staying local over NYC, BBQ with friends over a bar crawl, and I'm always up for concerts or beach days.

What I’m doing with my life

As I said, I am a teacher. I absolutely love my job and know that I have made the right choice in life. I'm currently looking into Graduate programs to further my education. That makes me sound like a geek - I promise there is only a hint of geek in me. =) Ok, maybe a little bit more than a hint.

The first things people usually notice about me

I've been told my eyes - especially in the summer...they get super blue. I should probably tell you now...my laugh is also something that is noticed fairly quickly - its how I got my nickname - which is Goose. =) I promise its not obnoxious. I have learned to tame it over the years.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I love reading so just a few of my favorites: I Know This Much Is True by Wally Lamb, A Thousand Splendid Suns by Khaled Hosseini, and yes - I am a huge Twilight buff.
My most recent favorite movie is The Hangover. If you haven't seen it, you must go now. Funniest movie I've seen in awhile. Favorite movie of all time is hands-down - Rudy.
Favorite food is Italian.
I love, love, love music. Huge Bruce Springsteen fan, Beatles, Pearl Jam, Jack Johnson, David Gray, DMB, Live, Billy Joel, lover of 80's music and 90's rock.
I watch a lot of TV - I will admit. My all time favorite show is LOST and when it ends, I think I might cry. I'm a sucker for a few reality shows - Survivor & So You Think You Can Dance (this is not b/c I can dance...I think its the other way around). Also love Friends & Seinfeld reruns - they never get old. And my recent discovery is Intervention on A&E.

The six things I could never do without

Some of the things I couldn't live without include, but are not limited too:

1.) My friends & family (I have the absolute best)
2.) Water (b/c there is nothing like a big glass of ice water when you're really thirsty.)
3.) My dog - her name is Noelle. (She is neurotic, and has an awful background - but I love her unconditionally.)
4.) Flip flops & pedicures (its my guilty pleasure)
5.) Music (it tends to be an escape for me.)
6.) The Beach (its free therapy)

And one for good luck...b/c I simply could not live without it...

7.) HOCKEY - Particularly, the Philadelphia Flyers - but I enjoy watching all hockey games.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

lots of things. I'm a day dreamer & a people watcher. It tends to make my mind wander.

On a typical Friday night I am

with friends....could be doing anything from a fun night out to a night in with the Wii. During the school year, by Friday night I am ridiculously exhausted. I teach middle school - they are tiring. In most cases, I prefer the relaxing night in, but ya never know.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

Typically, I don't share private things to people I don't know.
However, I will share this: I'm still pretty uncomfortable with the online dating thing. Maybe I will reach a level of comfort, maybe I won't. But I figured I'd give it a shot. I can tell you that I'm not the type that will have the courage to pursue you - so if you are somewhat interested, shoot me an email.

You should message me if

You are a down to earth, laid back, honest person who finds it ok to laugh at himself. I'm not interested in flings. I'm not really a fan of NYC. It helps if you enjoy the beach, dogs (considering I have one), and if you enjoy a lazy night in once in awhile. =)

Please don't bother if you are married or in a relationship. I'm not into games or drama.
