I'm a transplant (23 years) to San Diego from the mid-west because:
1) I hate the cold. I'm no fan of winter, shoveling, etc.
2) I love the ocean, the beach and sailing.
3) There is so much more to do - theatre, museums, sports, concerts, golf, etc. (Go Chargers!)

I have worked as a healthcare provider (non-physician) for 35+ years.

I'm a gourmet cook.

I'm a minor liberal/progressive blogger with a wicked sense of snark. (Famous for the "Honest McCain Campaign Poster" series.)

I play piano as well as noodling around with several other instruments. I've had stints as a radio announcer, studio musician and concert promoter.

I served in the Navy during the Viet Nam conflict, received decoration and an Honorable discharge.

I really wish I could sing.
