My self-summary
I am down to earth, don't let the big stuff (or little stuff bother me), am curious about new things, am playful and like someone who can hold their own in conversations and debates.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm attending Oregon State with an eye toward law school. I'm getting a late start, but when life knocks you down you can get back up or stay in the dirt.
I’m really good at
Handling difficult situations (with myself and especially others, I'm often the consultant for others when things go bad), being a good friend, and paying attention while people vent.
The first things people usually notice about me
I'm opinionated, and well-spoken. Maybe that?
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: American Gods, A Wheel of Time, A Song of Ice and Fire, The Dresden Files, The Kingkiller Chronicles, The Dark Tower, Harry Potter, The Lies of Locke Lamora, and I think The Lord of the Rings would go without saying. On the non-fiction side: 1776, John Adams, Alexander Hamilton, The First American, Theodore Rex, American Lion, Team of Rivals, and several more on my to-do list.

Movies: I have a lot of movies. My top three that I can't put in order are: The Neverending Story, The Crow, The Transformers (1986). The Princess Bride deserves mention as almost making it the "top four that I can't put in order".

Shows: several. for example 30 Rock, The Colbert Report, The Daily Show, Californication, Weeds, Sons of Anarchy, and Futurama, Scrubs, How I Met Your Mother, The Big Bang Theory, The West Wing, and I think Firefly should go without saying.

Music: genrewise I am okay with anything except Jazz.

Food: I'm weird about food. Example I don't eat anything with tomato. I also don't eat peanut butter. I'm not allergic.
The six things I could never do without
I don't know.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I'm interested in politics. I think it's important. If I had my way I would work in that field. Beyond that I'm a nerd. Sci-fi, fantasy, philosophy and "philosophy."
On a typical Friday night I am
getting off work and relaxing. If anyone I know invites me out, I'll go. I don't mind staying in on my own though.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I'll tell anyone pretty much anything if they ask. I'm not really a private person. So just ask if you have a question.
You should message me if
...you want to?.... But really if I sound interesting, say something.
