Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
I'm originally from the west coast but NYC has been home for almost
9 years, been in Brooklyn about half that time.
I love living in the city in spite (and maybe a little because of)
the reasons people like to complain about it. Except the insane
money part, that part just sucks. I always imagined I'd live many
different places so I'm not against moving on eventually but I'm
good for now. I really appreciate being able to have wine delivered
to my apartment at 2am, why would I screw that up?
I'm a positive person with a slightly cynical sense of humor.
Creative type that likes some organization, openminded, loyal, and
even though everyone says it laid-back. Thoughtful but some times
impulsive. I get along with most people and am pretty good at
glossing it over when I don't. Appreciate good conversation, a
sense of humor, and confidence with a dash of humility. Also having
a passion about something (almost anything really) plus a little
bit (or a lot) of nerd. I can be pretty nerdy....
Feminist and politically left. Not necessarily a deal breaker if
you're not but if you're a serious Republican or believe a persons
body is anyones but their own it ain't gonna work.
This has gotten long, sorry- will try to keep it brief for the
rest. This site is wayyyy too much sometimes.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I'm a curator that works between a few artist studios and gallery
space that I help run. I spend a lot of time working but am making
more of an effort to live with more balance and pursue various
interests; although I love what I do I don't want to be defined by
my job, life is too short. During my time off I like to hit up
museums & galleries, see live music, walk everywhere in NYC,
read and binge on Netflix, practice yoga, catch up with friends at
happy hour and get away for a long weekend when possible. Not the
most coordinated person, but I like the occasional tennis game,
hike or kayaking trip. Plan to hit the beach as much as possible
this summer. Nature is good.
I also spend a good chunk of my time playing with my 2 cats- they
are awesome and I love them, sorry haters.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
great at making lists, ok at checking things off of them
karaoke (not really, but I love it)
reading maps & finding my way around
remembering faces & names
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
curly hair and (so i've been told) my legs
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
I like to read, watch, listen and eat. Pretty wide interests on all
of the above. I could be more specific but would rather talk about
this stuff on a date than compile a list that your eyes glaze right
I will say that cheese is very important to me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
my special people
insect repellent (mosquitos freakin love me)
#6 is cheese but i already mentioned that..
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Travel plans, both planned or fantasized. New art/curatorial
projects to work on. How people save money in NYC. How infuriating
most politicians are. What to cook for dinner. People I love.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Lately most Fridays have been all about wine, seamless &
netflix. Possibly a few beers a the bar across the street. I still
like to go out but since my schedule isn't necessarily traditional
have come to prefer doing so on other days of the week.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Sometimes I sing to my cats...I swear I'm not a total crazy cat
lady but I'm not really ashamed of this. I would be singing anyway,
it's just more fun to have them as an audience.

Offer a few tips to help matches win you over.
You feel like it.
You're not desperately seeking a girlfriend but are close to ready
and open to the idea of something more than casual.
You can string together a few words to prove you actually looked at
my profile for a second. Sorry to be blunt but I don't have have
the energy to sift through all the "hey babys" and X-rated stuff.
First world problem I know...
You aren't afraid to actually go on a date. I'm not. This site can
be taxing and I can't do the messaging thing forever.
You want to support art in Brooklyn!!! :)
