I am Ubiquitous, hungry, and a hybrid.

My Self-Summary

Hello, I'm in the slow process of deleting my profile, starting with my pictures. It's a classic story, boy meets girl, girl and boy cyber, boy falls for girl, girl have a lesbian lover, girl sign up for army. Stock market plummets, penguin steps on banana peel in antarctica and breaks neck, girl never heard from again. Boy hit on lesbian lover, lesbian lover a 48 year old man from Tobago&Trinidad, boy decide to take time off.

What I’m doing with my life

I probably shouldn't tell you what I do for a living. It seems to make most people rather overwhelmed. As in "oh...well...ahm...so how...how does that work? I mean...like...what is it that you REALLY do?"

But yes, I'm a mathematician. That means I sit in a chair, I stare at the wall, and I drink coffee. And I get paid lots and lots of money. Seriously, you should try it.

I’m really good at

I suppose I am good at most things requiring thought.

The first things people usually notice about me

I'm a good listener. I rarely fall asleep when people need to talk to me.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

My favorite books are: Crime and punishment, by Fyodor Dostoyevski Hundred years of solitude: Gabriel Garcia Marquez, Boris Pasternak's autobiography, and a bunch of icelandic books nobody has ever heard of.

Just to name a few of my favorite movies, "My life is like a bottle of Fairy Washing up!". A beautiful dissection of phenomenological existentialism set in a community of Thai transvestites. Also, just to throw in a Zsmerezsykiy movie, "Mommy don't put your needle in me". A romantic take on illegal abortions in soviet era Romania. I don't leave home without a copy. And last but not least, "3somes 4 life". An acted documentary from the 60s on the difficulties Siamese twins face with relationships, and the people that love them. All timeless classics these.

Favorite music: Classical music, indie rock (Deerhoof, The libertines, Pixies, MGMT, Band of horses...) and folk music from countries nobody has ever heard of.

Favorite food: Blood.

The six things I could never do without

My phone, my lipgloss, oooooh money, I like money, and what else...yeah I like guys, no wait CUTE guys...aaaaand wow, how many is that already? omg lol!

I spend a lot of time thinking about

Vector spaces, metric spaces, hilbert spaces, topological spaces, hausdorff spaces, sobolev spaces, kolmogorov spaces, banach spaces, euclidean spaces, minkowski spaces, uniform spaces, and last but not least, urysohn spaces.

The order and pattern of a prose, finely tuned.

On a typical Friday night I am

Staring at static on my television screen, chasing dreams in another solar system.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

When I was 16 I signed up for Mensa, and later the Triple Nine. I was young and insecure.
