I am ambitious, ambiguous, and alternatively.

My Self-Summary

I hate the three adjectives thing. Stupidest thing on this whole site.
I am a working professional. I am still a student, but just have to finish my thesis so don't actually have any coursework anymore. I like my job and career, though sometimes I wish it was blue collar, not white collar. I am a biostatistician. I play hard. Probably too hard at times, but hey, such is my life. I race rally cars and the hobby is more of a lifestyle than a hobby. I spend too much money and time doing such and it's been the cause of more than one relationship ending, but it's something I love and will continue to do. I've also historically been attracted to girls that need someone constantly by their side and are not very self sufficient and have realized that this hasn't worked out for me so far. I've also had too many relationships where the other person is highly reliant on their family. Don't get me wrong, I am super close to my entire family, but I have never borrowed money from them or taken hand outs. If it's three weeks or more between conversations with them, it doesn't bother me. If you have a post graduate degree and a career we could probably get along well. I think I make a good partner if you can deal with how busy I am in life. I don't really watch TV as it takes too much time and I really, really hate commercials.

What I’m doing with my life

Working, having fun, finishing my thesis, producing videos, racing rally cars. I actually have gotten tired of traveling this year. I've had somewhere around 30 trips this year and am kind of ready to hang out at home for a few weekends. I also really want to get into snowboarding more this year. I've just always been too busy since I moved to Colorado, but this year I want to make time for it.

I’m really good at

Finishing my beer before anyone else. Making sure that this is a fun night for all of us. Cooking delicious food. Baking bread. Statistics. Being mostly responsible and paying bills on time. Racking up huge bills to the IRS. Finding something entertaining to do almost every night. Breaking bicycles, doing dangerous things, snuggling and laying in bed all morning on weekends, going to brunch, driving through the middle of the night.

The first things people usually notice about me

The random cone I just set down in front of them while they were casually walking along the 16th Street Mall on a Friday night minding their own business.
Probably either the crazyiness of my hair, which I don't do anything with and always cut myself, usually after quite a few beers. Or the tattoo on my forearm. Or that I'm probably smiling.

My favorite books, movies, music, and food

I hate this sections because there are so many of al the categories. Favorite author would probably be Chuck Palahnuik, Michael Crichton or Charles Nersessian, but there are many other great ones. I read alot, like pretty much every night.
Favorite music: So variable, but I'd say I mostly listen to punk rock. Music never has and never will be a domineering thing in my life. I enjoy it, but it doesn't define me.
Favorite movies: Ones that don't suck. Ichi the Killer is probably one of my favorites. I also like animated films. I really liked Coraline, but that might just be in my head because I watched it this morning.
Favorite food: Veg manchurian, croque madame, and buffalo burgers.

The six things I could never do without

Clean socks, a comfortable bed, interesting people, beer, food, and learning.

I spend a lot of time thinking about

What I want to do with my life. I have so many cool things going on that it's hard to keep up. Career as a biostatistician, potential career as a producer for television, and potential career as a rally car builder. I really want to find a way to balance and do all three.

On a typical Friday night I am

There's no such thing as typical any night. Thursday's I bowl. Friday may be at the College Inn with friends, downtown at Illegal Pete's followed by a movie at the Pavillions, at the Marquis or Larimer Lounge or Three Kings or elsewhere for a concert, hanging out at a friends house playing games, down at our shop drinking beer and working on rally cars, traveling, up in Wyoming visiting family, up in the mountains doing whatever I want to do.

The most private thing I’m willing to admit here

I've made many mistakes in my life, but also believe that mistakes are how we learn what we want and need. I also think it's imperfections that make us unique.
It's kind of funny that one of the things I miss about relationships is not having someone to go shopping with and not having someone to go to nice dinners and brunch with. I rely on my mom and sisters coming to town in order to go buy clothing. It's been a while for sure. I am hopelessly addicted to designer jeans. I think Seven jeans are possibly the most comfortable thing I've ever worn. I'll be in serious trouble when the Nordstrom Rack opens on Colorado Blvd next spring. I sleep naked most of the time. I'm only slightly self conscious about body image. See above where I say that it's our imperfections that make us unique.
Oh yeah, I currently only have a 85 Merkur rally and an 81 Toyota Starlet, both of which run fine, but aren't licensed and registered. I also own three road bikes and one BMX bike, all of which are currently unrideable. I went through a few wheels on cruiser rides this year and haven't gotten around to fixing them. So I ride the bus and walk alot these days. I wish I still lived in a loft downtown so I could just go walk around when I'm bored. Planning to fix at least one bike as I love riding around town and to and from work.

You should message me if

You should message me if you want to message me. Can't say I'll definitely return the message, as I'm not always good at that.
