The past six months have been tremendous! I started a catering company and it's amazing to have a career I'm passionate about. I also enjoy writing, hiking, wild places, travel (I know, just like everyone else on this site!), and geeking out about craft beer. I have a very sardonic sense of humor, am fiercely loyal, stubborn, and value honesty above courtesy. I have a lot in common with my rottweiler, although he's a terrible cook.

I had a radio drama show for many years and I miss it! Don't get me wrong, I adore my job... working out of a community kitchen, selling at pop-up markets, and being part of Oakland's vibrant food scene. It fills a similar creative and social niche, but I wish I had more time for sound design. I'm definitely an audio person. The sound of the world intrigues me!

In addition to catering, I'm also the business manager for my dad's shop. He sells surf, skate and snowboards; I do all the boring paperwork.

In my limited free time I go hiking with my dog, explore Oakland, and try to support the many artistic endeavors of my friends. I love roadtrips, even though I don't drive. I bribe my friends with gas money to go on little adventures with me.

Cooking, telling stories, managing chaos, getting shit done.

I laugh easily and use the word "fuckin" as a hesitation device.

Actually, those are the the things I WISH people noticed first. In reality, it's probably my boobs.

Music - I had a blues show on KZSC for years. I also listen to a lot of classic rock and old school punk. Some favorites are: R.L. Burnside, Stevie Ray Vaughan, The Clash, Bob Dylan, Modest Mouse, Allman Brothers, Drive-By Truckers, Iggy Pop, Warren Zevon, Flogging Molly, Rolling Stones, Otis Redding and Patti Smith

Movies - I love anything with Zombies and generally hate chick flicks. Favorites include: Shaun of the Dead, Run Lola Run, Easy Rider, Pan's Labyrinth, The Harder They Come, Fear and Loathing in Las Vagas, Arsenic and Old Lace, O Brother Where Art Thou, Monty Python, anything with Rifftrax

Shows - Firefly, Game of Thrones, Futurama, Home Movies, Dr. Who, Sherlock, No Reservations, Iron Chef, Chopped, 30 Rock, Dexter, Veronica Mars, Arrested Development,

Books - The Song of Ice and Fire Series, The Stand, Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, 2001, Lady Sings the Blues by Billie Holiday, Temporary Autonomous Zones by Hakim Bey, and basically any by Hunter S Thompson, Bukowski or Ray Bradbury. I've read way too much Stephen King and the complete works of Shakespeare cover to cover. Love the comedies, hate the sonnets.

That being said, there are obviously certain things that I'm looking for in a partner so here it is!

I'm looking for someone who's:
- Fairly emotionally stable & sane
- Good with my dog (he's big and protective, so it's logistically difficult to date someone who's scared of dogs)
- Intelligent
- Honest
- Good at making me laugh
- Relatively independent
- Adventurous
- Coherent (I get a ton of messages like, "hey hawty how ru wanna met?" Not gunna lie. I only respond to those if I'm bored).
