My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Why hello there. I'm an guy living on Earth, trying to understand my place, help my fellow man, and not burn toast.

I'm am outgoing, positive, open minded type of guy. I believe in the scientific method, and questioning. I enjoy open minded, frank discussion.

I believe in the good of people, life is best enjoyed with all the spices, holding the door open for a woman, you are as weird or normal as you think you are, Catherine Janeway is a closet sub, cars should be driven fast and kisses taken slow, happiness is a choice, money is not wealth, friends are the sunshine in our lives, corny jokes are the best, emotional pain can hurt more than physical, to love someone is to share your soul with them regardless of body or mind, loneliness is the true torture, following your dreams gives life purpose, those who seek to judge do not love themselves, we often underestimate how powerful and beautiful we really are, Bob Dylan understood the human condition better than I ever will, the only true sin is to hurt your fellow man / woman, you haven't truly lived until you've screamed your favourite song at the top of your lungs while pulled up next to another car at the traffic lights in a convertible with the top down, slow food, you don't really know someone until you have loved, fought or danced the quickstep with them, the 57 Chevrolet was the hottest car ever minted, and enjoying everything that life has to offer.

Young intellectual professional, living in Adelaide, with big plans for lots of things. Work a respectable job by day, enjoys wine and sunsets by night. Keeps company with open minded people, and those who prefer a conversation to a punch up. Occasionally goes out on the town for some serious partying :).
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
Trying to figure out what to figure out.

Enjoying life, and only taking the important things seriously.

Enjoying my job, and spending time with friends and family.

This year, more specifically like this week, and even possibly in the next 12 minutes, I'm going to focus on getting back into ballroom dancing. Because, quite frankly, life is far too short not to dance :) If there are any ladies around who dance Ballroom / Latin to a silver standard, please let me know as I'm interested in finding a new dance partner.

I try to keep myself active both physically and mentally. During the week work takes up most of my time, however I fit in some social exercise, and plenty of Wikipedia. I'm thinking about joining a local philosophy club, and am trying to get around to buying / reading more of the classic works of English literature. Any assistance (read set me up with a fire, glass of cognac and a good book) would be much appreciated :). Try to keep the fire contained to the fireplace.

What's my big vision? What do I want to achieve in this life? Well to honest I'm not going to share that right here and now, you'll have to ask. However, I can say that the more thought I put into it, the more I believe that life itself is an accident, and while there appears to be no inherent purpose to life, it would still be beneficial to try and treat others nicely and help those who require it. Oh yeah, something about paying off a mortgage, getting married and having kids, but that stuff is more long term.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
Making people laugh, and engaging them in discussion. Or at least I get told this, so it could be true. Attending parties and meeting new people are things I enjoy doing.

Learning things.

I know the odd thing cars as well.

My job.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Probably my smile, followed by my humour, followed by the fact that I'm a bit of an extrovert.

And that I'm short.

Really anything by Monty Pythons. On a side note, one day I'm going to round up all of my friends and lock them in a room until they write their own sitcom. Seriously, they are some funny people - how they don't have their own show escapes me.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Ref Maslow's hierarchy of needs?

Ok no seriously (and forget this 6 rubbish, I've got a list as long as my arm):

Meaning in life (this is a work in progress)
Friends & Family
Interesting and challenging job to go to (tick :))
Sports car or two
Rawhide dance shoes (for ballroom)
Bit of cash in the bank account
Long sleeve shirts with cufflinks
Interesting people and intelligent conversation
Morcheeba - World Looking In
My house
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Meaning of life & that astounding question, Why?
Current state of federal politics in Australia
How to do things better at work
How I can help other people
What my next guy project will be
The future, the present, and the past
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
Driving through the hills with the top down on a hot summers evening.

Over a mates place having a brew and kicking back, enjoying their company while losing boardgames to them.

Chilling out at the beach, watching the sunset, listening to the world around me.

Attending parties that I get invited to 5 minutes before they start. Especially work drinks which weren't on, but then they were, but then they didn't, but now they are, and before I know it I'm pub hopping my way through the back of Adelaide, having more fun than a bee in a flower shop.

Spending time in my shed, working on whatever recent project has taken my fancy.

However when I'm really in the mood - that sultry slow contemplative mood, that makes you want to listen to slow jazz and drink too much fine wine - I hightail it down to the beach and listen to the sounds of the world around me, as the work week slowly dies, giving birth to the weekend.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
Ask. I have no secrets, but do believe in a modicum of modesty.

Also, I violently dance around and scream lyrics to music when I'm at home alone.
