Schadenfreude. That's my brain in one word.

I've driven across the US a few times, and have been to every coastal state (if you don't consider Alaska to be a "coastal state"). I love to travel when I can, and I'd like to visit some other places in the world soon.

I should tell you that I'm on OKC to meet people. I came to Connecticut for work. Most of my coworkers have zero interests outside of huntin', fishin', and country music. They are all dudes, and most are married- so they aren't even up for social activities that lead to meeting other people.

So if you have anything to talk about that isn't huntin', fishin', or country music- feel free to say hello.

Also doing very nerdy projects, like engineering weather-balloon apparatus to approximate how much radiation Felix Baumgartner was exposed to on his record-breaking near-space jump. All because a friend said "I wonder how much radiation Felix Baumgartner was exposed to on his record-breaking near-space jump."

As of late, I've been spending most of my nights shedding my beer gut. This is a new thing for me, and I have to say I'm pleased at how well I'm doing.

I'm going to tackle at least one-third of the White Mountains 4000-footers this year.

Roundhouse kicking the heads off of villains! I have over 9000 trophies to attest to my roundhouse-kicking abilities.

I'm told that my ability to recall song lyrics is impressive.

Friends tell me that I can pull it together and rock the microphone to some Run DMC karaoke style, even if I'm sloppy-drunk.

Also, I can drop some serious geek knowledge when I have to.

I like to take photographs with film, although I'm not sure how good I am at it.

Books? I love the shit out of some books! Fight Club (the ending of the book was better than the movie), 1984, Marine Sniper, Shadow Divers, Brave New World, One Man's Wilderness. I tend to read sensationalized nonfiction. If I read fiction, it's almost always sci-fi.

Movies- Fight Club, Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels, The Big Lebowski, Star Wars (the Holy Trilogy- not that episode 1 2 3 bullshit), Pulp Fiction, The Blues Brothers, Clerks. I also like somewhat mindless action films like the first two Terminator films, the first three Die Hard films...

Television- It's Always Sunny, The Colbert Report, Wilfred, Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

Music- I could go on for days. I'll just say that I'm not big on country, opera, or buttrock. If you've ever had Deltron 3030, Weezer's blue album, or any Miles Davis on heavy rotation for any length of time- we will get along swimmingly. I have a tendency to enjoy anything produced by Prince Paul and/or Dan the Automator, and a kind of picky selection of punk rock.

Food- I like food. Food tastes good. Juicy burgers, greasy fries, turkey legs, raw fish eyes.

Swiss army knife, duct tape, paper clip, leather jacket, aviator glasses, mullet.

Wait, no. Those are the things that MacGyver could never do without.

Dead mathematicians. Metallurgy. The WOD. Reproductive habits of sarlaacs. Ambient pressure. RF Propagation on upper HF. Why is my dog doing that? Where is my floss? I need to floss my teeth right-fucking-now.

Also, I always have at least one song stuck in my head.
