My self-summary
I'm slowly figuring out what it means to be an adult. I'm a musician, a reader, a thinker, a dreamer. I tend to be very dedicated to my favorite books.

Oh, and I suck at writing these self-summary things.
What I’m doing with my life
Well, I'm finishing up my first year of teaching elementary music. I also have a small private music studio, and sing in a professional church choir.
I’m really good at
playing the harp, the horn, the piano and singing. I was trained from 5 years old, so I should be pretty good by now! :-)

I'm also a great reader.
The first things people usually notice about me
My smile. I have dimples and people usually comment on them. Also, I get compliments on my eyes.

The six things I could never do without
My friends
My iPhone (as much as I hate to admit it, it has become an extremely important part of my daily life. It's like a survival kit in phone form.)
Books
Brain function
Music (I am a musician. Music is my job, and I frequently have it playing all day.)
New things to learn
I spend a lot of time thinking about
my students.

Sociology.

Also, I've recently been preoccupied with how we first managed to capture sound in a solid form. That is, I've been thinking about how the science of recordings came to be.

Oh, and gummy bears.
On a typical Friday night I am
having dinner with the extended family, then hanging out with my best friends.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
is that I have an odd obsession with Publix cupcakes. Don't ask me why.

You should message me if
You reliably know and respect the difference between the following:
your and you're
there, their, and they're
too, to, and two.
Others need not apply.

If you are more than you seem, if you long for an adventure, but love the comfort of home, if you can intelligently discuss all forms of media, if you can be respectful of differences, if you can make a decision, but also compromise...you should message me.
