My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
i recently relocated to san jose and looking for people to meet. i am fairly easygoing and nice but with a dark sense of humor which is probably a product of years in the graduate school. i have a lot of great friends and would love to find someone to spend time with in this area.
i like volleyball, ping pong, swimming and dancing (looking for swing and lindy hop venues), and i absolutely HATE shopping for practically anything.

the problem with this section is that i start every sentence with the word "i" and it is painful for me to re-read.
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
working in R&D and no longer being surprised at being the only woman in the workplace.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
lots of things, just like everyone else. but not filling in the profiles.
The first things people usually notice about me
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
what i look like. and after they get passed the looks they notice that there is a lot more to me than that.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Help your potential matches find common interests.
lots and lots of favorite books. mostly in the realm of science fiction and recently fantasy. well, you who match me probably know what they are. Roger Zelazny's Lord of Light being on of the favorites.
music -- hmm... current favorite is muse, some of the past are radiohead, coldplay, garbage, and a lot of others. i also like classical music. for those who love rap and country -- we probably won't match.
food -- sushi, ethnic foods, anyway i cook better than whatever i find in restaurants.
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
ha! as far as i know there are quite a bit more than 6 things that any of us cannot do without.

I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
