My Self-Summary
I'm an introvert who can be super-talkative when with friends or
family. I drink soy milk and visit the farmer's market frequently,
but also love mac&cheese and cool whip (not together!). Other
things I love: cooking, reading, corny jokes, walking not driving,
bowling terribly but with great enthusiasm, rock climbing, pets,
kids, needlepoint, hiking, donating blood, breakfast food, and
homework-less Sundays with the NY times.
What I’m doing with my life
Working at a legal clinic in DC (can't call myself a lawyer because
the bar exam results aren't in yet). Trying to be a good mama to
the cat I just adopted.
I’m really good at
Laughing at myself. Trivia (I love Jeopardy). Packing good lunches.
Walking long distances without whining. Taking care of people when
they're sick.
My favorite books, movies, music, and food
books: the time traveler's wife, joy comes in the morning,
cookbooks and dictionaries, and just about anything by bill bryson,
barbara kingsolver, or anne fadiman.
movies: fried green tomatoes, love actually, when harry met sally, the american president, documentaries (my recent favorites: one about people who make incredible balloon animals and sculptures, and one called The Cheese Nun).
music: catie curtis, stephen kellogg, the be good tanyas.
food: mango-chocolate-chip pancakes, avocadoes, sushi, indian food, bagels.

The six things I could never do without
friends, faith, fresh fruit, family, apparently the f key on my
laptop...and clean clothes. I love to travel, but I'm always glad
to do laundry when I get home.
I spend a lot of time thinking about

* my new neighborhood (SW!)
* how to teach my (blind) cat that my couch =/= scratching post.
