My self-summary
Yes, I am here to meet people, but only a particular type: people who are awesome! Someone who can laugh at herself and crack jokes, but can also hold a conversation, is interested in trying new things and will introduce me to new things as well.

Currently, I work in an ethical supply chain management company trying to work my way up.

I also am dedicated to being a good person and living by my values. I am not talking religiously, I mean by my own values of going good for people, animals, and the environment for goodness sake.

I am new to the area and hope that to meet someone who can show me around town and do new, fun, interesting things with. I am not much into parties, and while I do enjoy a good glass of wine (as a result of working in a wine room in the past), I tend to get along with sober people more than heavy drinkers.

I recently took up swing dancing, find myself going to art shows, and looking for other new hobbies to pick up that I have been putting off for too long.

One thing I am currently doing in my free time is reading about neuroscience. I am very interested in figuring out why people function the way they do, how to read people better, and how to communicate more effectively as a result.
What I’m doing with my life
I graduated with a master's degree in environmental science and I am working in supply chain management.
I’m really good at
Reading people
Being ridiculous
Board games
Swing Dancing - Still taking lessons
Picking out wine
The first things people usually notice about me
My broad shoulders and my chest. And my butt gets far more stares than I have previously realized.

Also, I have gotten "hey, you look like Steve-O (the guy from Jackass)!" Exactly what I want to hear...
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
My favorite books include Survivor (not related to the TV show), A Game of Thrones, and Guns, Germs and Steel.

I like all types of movies and my favorites include Army of Darkness, Exit Through the Gift Shop, and The Princess Bride.

More than movies though, I enjoy watching TV shows with my friends. Some of the best are Flight of the Conchords, The Office, 30 Rock, Game of Thrones, Family Guy, Daily Show and Colbert Report.

Music? I like most everything but rap and country. I used to like only heavy metal, but as I get older and start to complain about kids on my lawn, I have learned to love any music that makes me feel happy.

I'm not too picky about my food, as long as it tastes good. If I was forced to choose, I would pick Italian, Japanese, and Vietnamese.
The six things I could never do without
My friends
Trader Joe's dinners (I need to cook more :/)
Board games
Learning about the human condition
A sixth thing to write here.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
What new activity I should get involved in.

How can I get better at my job / next career move.

What friend will I drag to Dave and Busters next.
On a typical Friday night I am
With friends - grabbing dinner, playing games, or just hanging out.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I once woke up and thought my arm fell off, since I could not move it. I got up really quickly and felt a punch across my face. At that point, I thought someone had cut off my arm and was assaulting me. When I calmed down a bit, I realized my arm was asleep. LMAO.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 21–31
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
You like board games, go on hikes, cook food, or just walk around town. I always like to meet new people and try new things.

More than anything right now, I am looking for someone to explore San Diego with!

Also, while I am willing to send a few emails back and forth, I really would prefer to meet up for coffee (or Jamba Juice). You can learn more about someone with a face-to-face conversation in 10 minutes than with days and days of emails. So please be willing to meet for a friendly chat if I seem like someone you would like to know better!
