My self-summary
I'm a bit quiet at first, but once I get to know you and/or get a few drinks in me I become much more open and (hopefully) charming.

I like stand-up comedy, whiskey, learning random facts and sports. I don't like bad drivers, small talk, people who boast about not owning a TV and describing myself.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm do office work to pay the bills while I work on a freelance writing career. I also write fiction on the side but nothing publishable (yet).

Aside from that I'm trying out various hobbies and seeing what sticks. Home brewing beer is one of the leading favorites right now, but I'm always open to suggestions.
I’m really good at
Writing (at least I hope so)
Answering trivia questions
Singing (I sound great to myself when I'm drunk.)
Cooking
The first things people usually notice about me
I've been told I have a nice smile. My laugh(s) probably qualify as well--they tend to range from deep and booming to schoolgirl giggles.
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
Books: Mostly nonfiction by George Plimpton, AJ Jacobs, Nathan Rabin; but Nick Hornby and Kurt Vonnegut are favorites as well. And you can't go wrong with Mark Twain.

Movies: Anything good, really, but my favorites are gangster movies (The Godfather, The Departed, Most of Tarantino's work), goofy comedies (Spinal Tap, Monty Python, the ouvre of Will Ferrell), and sci-fi/comic book movies. Yes, even the bad ones.

TV Shows: Community, Key and Peele, Parks and Rec, Game of Thrones, Rick and Morty and Doctor Who are the current favorites. All-time leaders include The Simpsons, Firefly, Freaks and Geeks, Arrested Development, Breaking Bad and Lost.

Music: Hip-hop, classic rock and 60's soul.

Food: Any and all meats
