My self-summary
Boy, is this something I really don't like: trying to describe myself. I guess some would say I'm intelligent, witty (or so I like to think), nerdy (in a mostly harmless sense), but over all easy-going guy. I enjoy spending time with my friends and family but also enjoy doing my own thing.

A common word I've heard used to describe me is "diplomatic" as I tend to seek to find beneficial resolutions for all parties in conflicts. Personally, I just think I have a lot of empathy.

Also, I'm a gamer... Wait, don't leave yet! I don't play WoW! I just play a few hours when I have some spare time.
What I’m doing with my life
I'm a software engineer continuing to pursue my career at my current employer. I develop small projects in my personal time when inspiration strikes, but work tends to slow that down. I'd love to change the world, but need a little bit of inspiration.
I’m really good at
Lots of things - I'm really a Jack-of-all-Trades. I'm a typical guy who likes to figure things out, how things work and whatnot. I can (successfully) build IKEA furniture with minimal reference to the instructions, and can troubleshoot computers with the geekiest of squads. I'm somewhat musically inclined, a bit of a beer snob, and a slight comedy nerd.
The first things people usually notice about me
I have NO idea what people usually notice about me. They never seem to see fit to tell me. Maybe how quiet I seem until I get to know them.

Food:
I'm trying to follow the 4-hour body slow-carb diet, so anything delicious is appetizing.
The six things I could never do without
1. Internet access (though I CAN live without for good reasons)
2. A computer
3. My iPod (podcasts)
4. Caffeine (though not coffee, no offense intended)
5. Some sort of game for distraction
6. Good conversation. (I know, how cliche)
I spend a lot of time thinking about
I think about tomorrow. What I'm going to do, what I need to accomplish, what I'm going to cook for dinner. I live in the present but plan for the future.

Also, I spend and unfair amount of time wondering what the people who read my profile think. I'm not super shallow, but I put a lot of time in it for you. What do you think?
On a typical Friday night I am
Having a beer with friends, catching up on shows from the week, or sitting down to a good video game.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I need no corrective lenses, be they contact or framed, in order to see the world perfectly. This seems to be a rare trait so I thought I'd mention it.

Also, I have a periodic table of the elements wall-covering in my living room. Just saying.
I’m looking for
  • Girls who like guys
  • Ages 25–30
  • Near me
  • Who are single
  • For new friends, long-term dating, short-term dating
You should message me if
...I dunno, you have some nerdy interests and don't mind a guy who has the same? They don't have to be the same, either. If you think the fact that my coffee table is a 4 player arcade controller is cool is a total bonus.

I'm in it to meet people, so if anything you see about me makes you think anything more than asking "How you doin?", I'd be happy to hear it. Also, if you're in less than 20 miles, it'll guarantee me responding...
