My self-summary
Write a little about yourself. Just a paragraph will do.
Well, as they say in some business schools main point up front.

Just moved to Salt Lake City to start another chapter in the overly long novel that is my career. Looking forward to the change living in the city brings. I seem to bounce back and forth between cities and rural towns. No true preference but perhaps a leaning to having things to do tilts the scales somewhat in favor of populations.

I found this site because of the tests and curiousity got the best of me as people started saying hello now and then. I enjoy making new friends with varied perspectives and cultures.

I am always willing to answer any questions. However, I guess a bit of knowledge about who and what I am is terribly important if someone is to decide to take a risk and say "hello".

I grew up in southeastern Montana with dreams of going places and doing things in this world. Instead I graduated from a local college with a BA in Math/Comp Sci and minor in History. I picked up a comission in the United States Army and went off to play soldier.

Unfortunately for me that career choice was a bit of poor timing as I came into the service during the Reagan build-up and left during the Clinton down sizing. I later moved on to serving in the Army Reserves.

Outside of the military I have put my focus on experiencing the world first hand. I love to travel and experiencing other cultures brings me a great deal of pleasure. One of the places I enjoyed the most was a 6 month job in Bucharest Romania working closely with the Romanian military, US military and US Embassy. I loved my time overseas and I am planning a way to return.

This is a work in progress so I will try and add more later.

I am chivalrous, adventurous, and open-minded
What I’m doing with my life
Don’t overthink this one; tell us what you’re doing day-to-day.
I am trying to experience as much as life has to offer. Work for me is something I need to pay for my travels and experiences. I continue along some vague and wandering path enjoying the challenges along the way.
I’m really good at
Go on, brag a little (or a lot). We won’t judge.
The author "Robert Heinlein" said it best:

A human being should be able to change a diaper, plan an invasion, butcher a hog, conn a ship, design a building, write a sonnet, balance accounts, build a wall, set a bone, comfort the dying, take orders, give orders, cooperate, act alone, solve equations, analyze a new problem, pitch manure, program a computer, cook a tasty meal, fight efficiently, die gallantly. Specialization is for insects.

I am still working on a couple of these skills. The writing a sonnet is proving very difficult...

I like all music except most current country western and rap. As for food as a taurus I like it all except fast food. I especially like Greek, Mexican and Thai, but a total soft spot when it comes to good Carolina or Texas BBQ
The six things I could never do without
Think outside the box. Sometimes the little things can say a lot.
Well, beyond the very essentials that everyone mentions (air/water/food) lets no particular order
friends, my kids, sex, kentucky bourbon, coffee, internet
I spend a lot of time thinking about
Global warming, lunch, or your next vacation… it’s all fair game.
Where fate/karma/wanderlust will take me next.
On a typical Friday night I am
Netflix and takeout, or getting your party on — how do you let loose?
at home playing games with my kids...but occasionally kick loose to go play with my friends (clubbing or sharing a drink in pub)
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I’m an empty essay… fill me out!
I have the most severe case of wanderlust....always wonder who and what are over the next hill/ocean/continent and whether they want to share a beer and our lifes stories...

You are interested in someone who does not fit into any stereotypical molds. I am interested in so many things. As my friends would say "Jack-of-all-trades" yet "Master-of-none"...

I like people of all walks of life and especially those who are not afraid to challenge my beliefs.
