I'm currently in my third year at Uottawa, taking a double major in philosophy and women's studies. Most likely going to go the graduate school route though I'm also interested in working in administration and with NGOs.

I volunteer at PTS, a queer youth organization, and I'm working on a workshop series that explores Shame and Sexuality in a queered context.

I'm taking the opportunity to do fuck all this summer except travel, work on my 'art' (haaa), and 'grow as a person' which is really just a euphemism for taking a break from being a fully functional member of society for the sake of sanity and laziness.

I want to write and publish many books; poetry, comics, fiction, text.

I have this dream of becoming a show stopping roller derbying, pinup goddess, but I just can't seem to get the hang of pin curls.

I've been playing piano for the past 17 years of my life. I played classically with the RCM until I reached grade 9 and I've been playing casually ever since. I'd like to start a band once I can afford a decent keyboard. I'm also currently learning the guitar and it is a painful process to say the least.

on a less superficial level, probably that i'm initially very shy and not quite what they expected. i'm a lot more subdued in person than my online projection.

I like to read in general, though I have fairly specific tastes when it comes to fiction and poetry. I'm fond of existential literature and theory. I also dig sex positive/queer novels and short stories, though I generally spend my days reading political blogs, web comics, articles off of Stanford Encyclopedia of Philosophy, and hella smutty erotica. A few of my all time favourite books include wetlands by charlotte roche, still life with woodpecker, by grand central station i sat down and wept, a wrinkle in time, and feminism is for everybody. A few favourite authors/thinkers include: Margaret Atwood, bell hooks, Allison Jagger, Audre Lorde, Patricia Hill Collins, Ivan Coyote, J.D. Salinger, Simone de Beauvoir, Camus, Sylvia Plath, Bertrand Russel, George Orwell, and some awesome people on the internet.
