My self-summary
I'm an outgoing, friendly, in-shape, clever, open-minded, quick-witted and idealistic guy living in NYC.

I’m grateful to have a warm group of talented and interesting friends. This crew would describe me as “intense,” and “honest.” I’ve turned this intensity and honesty into humor, having written and performed comedy for years without having anything thrown at me from audiences.

Improv comedy taught me a bunch of things I try to bring into my everyday life – listening actively, being in the moment, following an impulse, and nurturing possibilities by saying "yes."

I recently moved back from San Francisco where I was working for the Internet's largest time-vacuum. As proof of my ability to thrive in all temperatures, I've also lived as happily in LA and as I have in London (where I was a radio announcer forced to use a fake American accent even though I'm American).

According to Myers-Briggs I'm an NSFW.
What I’m doing with my life
Early on, I decided to make job choices based on what was interesting and creatively stimulating, rather than money. This path led me to becoming a Creative Director at a few ad agencies where I was able to craft work that didn't talk down to people. I'm now considered an expert (I just made air quotes) in my field and am able to help others develop their own ideas and talents through teaching and mentoring, which I'm very passionate about.

I'm currently freelancing. This gives me lots of flexibility with time, which I use to take classes about stuff that interests me (right now –swimming and hands-on classes at the MOMA). Freelancing is not only lucrative, but also allows me the freedom to only collaborate with people I find inspiring, so I'm lucky in that regard. Now that I've got the time and means to travel, it'd be great to get find someone to get out of town, state, or country with.

I create a lot of odd projects that have been enjoyed around the world. You can see some at www.ThatGuyImet.com. (Feel free to visit even though we haven't really met yet.) I also enjoy bike riding, yoga, seeing concerts, hiking, traveling, and museum-going.
I’m really good at
Making people laugh without being mean, flossing, beatboxing, taking chances, staying curious, making strange voices, seeing many sides to a story, following through, finding good apartments, and knowing what color a Terra Chip is just by feeing it from inside the bag. I also excel at picking out a gym locker that, no matter how empty the gym is, will undoubtedly be right next to someone else who needs to get to their locker the same time I do.

The six things I could never do without
Maslow's hierarchy of needs (1 thru 5) and music.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The dominant narrative in society and how to disrupt it for the better. I spent a long time being closeted, and unhappy because of it. But, coming out and working through that fear left me in a place where I no longer allow society's arbitrary leanings to rule me. It also taught me empathy - everyone's struggling with something.
