My self-summary Propose an edit
G'day! Welcome to my profile, thanks for stopping by.
I'm intelligent and independent, hoping to meet someone similar who
enjoys a good conversation. I stay fit and
healthy, and expect my partner does too. It would be a bonus if we
shared some outdoor activities. Some I enjoy are enjoy mtn biking, cycling, hiking, swimming, snowboarding and windsurfing. There are many
others I'd love to try, including (but not limited to) kayaking,
kiteboarding, and paragliding. Cooking, camping, road trips, reading, playing piano, exploring, tinkering, and building things are also fun
pastimes.
Some other characteristics I value are self-confidence, a positive
outlook and honesty. I particularly like those who, like me, are
comfortable with who they are, ones who don't play games and who
“tell it like it is.” An infectious optimism is also appreciated,
as well as a great sense of humor. Life definitely shouldn't be
taken too seriously.
I don't watch TV, but I do like movies. Some TV's okay, however if
you're a total couch potato, please hit that BACK button now. Some
of my favorite movies are Caddyshack, Better Off Dead, After Hours,
and Air America.... do you know any pilots that *don't* love that
one?!? I also own the Chitty-Chitty Bang-Bang DVD --- not that I'd
admit that in public, but there's just something about a mad-cap
inventor, a flying car, and an outhouse hanging from a blimp. I
love a good book and a fire (but not necessarily a book burning =)
or sometimes listening to radio.
While I and assuredly everyone else have deal-breakers they seek in
a partner, I'm not necessarily looking for an identical twin.
Diversity makes people interesting. I don't know exactly what I'm
searching for in every area, and I'm almost always willing to meet
people to see what happens. I do like to meet in person fairly
early, because that's such a superior indicator of character and
chemistry. The first meeting doesn't have to be anything involved,
whatever you are comfortable with.
Ideally we'd meet as friends first. Our friendship might blossom
into a great relationship as equal partners sharing life, but let's
enjoy the journey too.
If some of that rambling strikes a chord, please drop me a line. 10
bonus points if you make me laugh!
