I came to this country with pretty much nothing (I did have a pillow and a blanket with me though :), having zero relatives or friends here. Some time later, I'm pretty well off enjoying my life and having a good deal of friends and fun. I've discovered good and kind people are everywhere, no matter what country and culture. Some places are even better in that regard (love Bay Area!). I enjoy quite a few hobbies: photography, dancing, hiking/backpacking to name a few. Love being in nature. I visited many national parks around here (California, Arizona, Utah), but there's so much more to see!

I can only say what others said to me: photos, dancing and cooking sushi (though I only did sushi once in my life, so have low expectations here :)

Food - Anything which is tasty, not spicy, flavorful, has enjoyable texture, made from fresh and quality ingredients, and not too experimental. I prefer organic when possible and when it makes sense (i.e. no organic water for me :).

At the same time, you are looking for a serious, mature relationship. Big plus if you exercise regularly (I do).
