My self-summary
I've always been one of those creative folks using paper, cameras, or other means to create fun cool stuff. Grew up in the deep South with a great brother (who happens to be 1 year & 364 days younger than me...all those shared birthdays, agghh) and parents from two different ends of the world (the States & Afghanistan). I've been calling Seattle my home for three years now and hope for many more years. So much to learn and explore up here in this corner of the country. Want go join me in this adventure?

I'm a bearded giant in glasses who sometimes has crazy big curly hair or normalish short hair wearing various graphic shirts and just about always lugging around a messenger bag which is the home for my other eye that takes souls and places them in motionless state till the end of times or deletion. I'll always be a geek. What do you geek out about?

I apologize for grammar and other errors, feel free to share corrections/comments/suggestions.
What I’m doing with my life
Working as a jack-of-all-trades type creative person for a non-profit doing anything from print/web design to videography/photography. It's not my most ideal job, but I'm working to change that. I also volunteer some of my time doing design work for an amazing geek related non-profit (if you want to know more, feel free to ask) and working on other fun projects.

When I'm not at work or home pushing out some creative juices I'll usually be playing with my camera, defeating all the bad guys in a game with friends, exploring (city or country), trying a new food, at a show/movie, or attending a local event.

I hope to have a bike soon so it would be awesome to meet someone that can show me how to bike Seattle. I will attempt running again if a foot issue goes away, but till then I'll just have to walk a lot. Need to get fit!
I’m really good at
not finding clothes that fit me well. Damn you body, be normal! I'm also really good at not being offended or easily angered. I've been told my photography has been pretty awesome and creativity is what I bleed.
The first things people usually notice about me
Would usually be my giant curly mess on my head and the big beard (when I currently have it equipped).
Favorite books, movies, shows, music, and food
I like many things, if I haven't seen it, heard it or ate it, then let me! Always up to try new stuff. Since being up in the PNW, burlesque has been a new thing I've come to love among other performance arts.

Some movies I do love a lot would be Alien/Aliens, Iron Giant, Akira, Princess Mononoke, Hellboy, Scott Pilgrim vs The World, and many more.

Lately I've been listening to a lot of Anamanaguchi, Nine Inch Nails, Childish Gambino, Hoodie Allen, Animal Collective, Deftones, Die Antwoord, Epic Rap Battles of History, Foals, Gowe, Iced Earth, K. Flay, Vampire Weekend, White Zombie, The Doubleclicks and others.

Most of what I see is from Netflix and other pay services (Amazon Instant, iTunes, Xbox Live). Some of my favorites have been Futurama, Buffy, Cowboy Bebop, The Walking Dead, Game of Thrones, Freaks and Geeks, Grimm, True Blood, NGE, and many others.

So many amazing foods. I'm a pretty adventurous eater. Put it in front of me and I'll try it. After living in Seattle I've had access to some great seafood (octopus, duh). I also love Afghan, Thai, pizzas, gyro, sushi, and my greatest enemy, sweets.

Recently started reading Ender's Game, Walking Dead, and Saga. Plan on trying to read Game of Thrones, more Tolkien, Kurt Vonnegut, Stephen King, and Neil Gaiman. Suggestions on reads?
The six things I could never do without
My SLR goes with me pretty much everywhere. Glasses are a must unless I want to live in the world of bokeh. Access to old and new amazing pop-culture. The few friends I have in Seattle are a definite must. My cats are pretty awesome to come home to. The crazy imagination that lives inside me is generally useful.
I spend a lot of time thinking about
The next photography/design project. I've been wanting to make a sticker as way to promote myself, so I'm slowly working on that.

When does the narwhal bacon?
On a typical Friday night I am
Out at a bar for some live music and great beer, checking out the latest art show at Ltd, hanging out with people from reddit, maybe eating random sushi, or I could be at the house relaxing.
The most private thing I’m willing to admit
I cough and sneeze at the same time. Snoughing. My right wrist can only twist 135 degrees. Other private things can be revealed by asking or riddles.
